- piattj2016Liverpool, UK16 contributionsAn amazing experience... such vistas, a wealth of wildlife - seals, white tailed eagles soaring, porpoise, a whole pod (?) of dolphins playing within feet of the boat... all backed with a very informative, amusing and insightful commentary. The trip was extended by the crew - an extra 25 mins because of the wealth of dolphin activity, so kudos to Shearwater for delivering a great experience & value. We saw so much wildlife close up - seals, eider ducks, sea urchins, guillemots...and all without disturbing them in their natural (beautiful) environment. Jules was lovely company, very knowledgeable, and passionate about the area and its ecosystem. Jules might be the most chilled guide we have paddled with, meaning that we had time to really notice all the details and appreciate it. Paddling out from the ramp in the Ullapool harbour opposite to the petrol station we crossed the loch and enjoyed the views while being surrounded by curious seals.
