Very cool and sober monastery.Travel can find lots of young Buddhist child are studying there..Compound are well maintained and near to lower dharmashala.
I was told by my car driver who was an ex army man Mr Randheer singh that most of the Tibetans send their children to this monastery to educate them in tantric vidya.

The feelings gets strengthened by observing the innumerable devotees who have Aastha and visit with their families to take blessings of Devi.
Huge queues on weekends and very exhausting for kids and elderly people.
Tsechokling Gompa McLeod Ganj

They are giving a secular and monastic education to many orphan kids from the Tibetan in exile community from all over India, there is a beautiful temple (gompa) and even a Tara temple (on top of the main gompa).
You can actually see the whole city and if you visit during the evenings when it gets a little foggy, u'd feel the chill, so be sure to carry a layer of warmth with u specially if ur travelling with children.
