Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I purchased a Groupon the discovery flight lesson with logbook & video for my husband for his bday. I paid extra so I can join him in flight. I had no problem contacting them, they responded promptly to my emails & finalized everything by phone. They sent an email confirmation with the directions to the location in whiteman airport. The directions & pictures of the location was detailed in the email confirmation. We arrived & got started filling paperwork. Yetka the instructor was very detailed with all the instructions for the flight. It was a hot summer day & there was no AC in the plane but otherwise it was a great experience! Would definitely recommend this company! Thanks again Rotor FX!

Have you taken air tours where you feel like you're on an assembly line? This isn't one of them. This is not a listen to a recorded voice on the headset tour. This is a listen to air traffic control, talk to the pilot, and get a bird's eye view of LA. You depart from the famous One Six Right runway (there's a movie by that name). Our plane was a Cessna 182 which is a great plane for sightseeing. The company is a flight school - so they fly constantly teaching people to fly. I've flown in other 182s with other pilots - this pilot was truly outstanding. The narration he gave was excellent, the view was fantastic, and it was just a heck of a lot of fun. I would say that 45 minutes is probably the sweet spot. Thirty minutes will feel a bit rushed and after an hour it will seem a bit long. LA is big - but it's not that big and 45 minutes seems about perfect for seeing the best of it from the air. This one is highly recommended.

My boyfriend booked this experience as a surprise for our 3rd anniversary and it was incredible!!! For starters, our pilot Ron was so friendly and easy to talk to which made our experience that much better! It was an overall beautiful experience and I would definitely recommend this to anyone!
