Seeing this church with a tour guide and/or purchasing 'A Pilgrim's Guide to Sacramento's Cathedral' explained much of the history, windows, paintings, and awe inspiring sights.
The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in the heart of downtown Sacramento, restored in 2005, is among the most important sites in the city.

The small garden on the site is beautiful as the house and well worth a visit.
Was glad that I chose this as one of the sites to visit during my stay here.

If you're into the sights around it there are plenty with the Rose Garden, The War Memorials and hopefully back soon the Koi pond.
During the noon hours, or during the fair weather, many a jogger will be making his/her way around the park.... Go out, take in the sites, bring a lunch, stay awhile... Little known factoid?

... docents dressed in period costumes and the dirt is bustling with activities from the old days - butter churning, weaving, blacksmithing, music etc. it is awesome that this historical landmark is kept up so well.
It is a fast and easy drive to other Sacramento site, like the Capital and tour or Ol Sacramento.

The views of the city from the top of the hill are spectacular.
The grounds are well maintained and literature is available on site to help explain the importance of the site itself and the people that are buried there.

A beautiful venue in a great central location, walking distance from Old Sacramento and many other attractions (be sure to see the State Capitol sometime), with great views from all seats.
This is by far the best arena I have ever been in -- the planning, concession areas and offerings, special event space, site lines are phenomenal.
Raley Field West Sacramento 0.8 mi away
