We went here when our son graduated from basic training at Fort Moore. Amazing museum especially if you love combat history. I am not a huge fan of military history but this museum kept me interested. My husband and soon were huge fans of the museum

A scenic pathway that is very nice and a must see while in Columbus. You can bike or walk/run. It's a very long stretch so you can make it a short or long stretch. Best hotels along the walk are the Hotel Indigo (a little more "central") and City Mills hotel (this one is on the farther end). The Marriott is about 2 blocks in from the River Walk.

There is a rock island you can go onto to enjoy the scenery or watch the kayakers/rafters navigate the rapids. Farther down the trail there is a cool bridge area. You can use this pathway to ride or walk to the Civil War Naval Museum (the distance depends on where you're starting from)

Very enjoyable time with family. While waiting for the seating to open for the show, we enjoyed drinks served in the waiting area. The show that we watched was great. The performers were wonderful.

I am an interior designer and I just love going to the Columbus Museum. It is one of the few museums that believes in painted walls. I think everything looks better with color behind it and they do a wonderful job. The Indian exhibit is awesome, the movie about the river and how Columbus started is worth just going to that. Their permanent exhibits are fantastic. AND there is no charge but they do get a $10 or $20 from me when I leave. Sometimes I go just for their museum store because here are different gifts I have never seen before. You can spend one hour or 4 hours !!!.

If you like eclectic kitschy things, this is the place for you. It's full of things you may have forgotten about. Great fun for an hour or so.

I went to the gun show they sponsored back in late September. It’s ok and all. I just wish they would have done a better job with the lighting. I’m almost 70 years old and my eyes aren’t as good. I find that the general lighting in the main halls to be a bit dim. If only they could incorporate some kind of auxiliary lighting. A specially when expensive merchandise is being sold and bought. I’ve passed on many purchases there simply because I could barely see it.

This is a great place, there are exhibits and things to see close to parking with wide accessable paths or if you are adventurous it access many acres to walk along the river. We have seen eagles, fish, birds in the wild, and the exhibits of gator, animals, are always clean and well tended. they do fun activities throughout the year on different topics of nature.

I went to see Music City Hit-makers (Think Bluebird Cafe in Nashville) at The River Center. It was easy to find, free on street parking and close to several notable restaurants. I was warmly greeted by the ushers. Seats were very comfortable. Accoustics were great. It felt very intimate although it is not really a small venue. Great show! Would highly recommend checking out a performance at this venue

Very informational. Small, but the immersive space show was amazing and worth it. Recommend to do with kids or teenagers.

Did you know that almost every welcome center and local welcome center in the state has free public WiFi? Research your trip plans within the state. Search for and book lodging on the fly. Digg deeply into the attractions within the state. Double check the weather forecast for your region and route. Do you need to book a motel room fast during severe weather outbreaks to have a safe place?

This park has lots of potential, especially if you like hiking and exploring. The summer heat is intense, but if we had visited in the fall, it would have been easy to spend several hours just exploring and hiking. Lots of interesting formations because of the flat rocks and natural features. My husband & I would love to come back and truly explore when it’s cooler weather. The disc golf course didn’t look well kept though, neither did the small playground for kids. Hopefully this is something that will be addressed because otherwise those would have been nice features. I realize we may have just come at a bad time, though. There were also lots of picnic tables scattered all around the park, so there’s plenty of room to picnic (though you’ll want to wipe down tables or bring a tablecloth).

There is a creek that runs over the rocks in a type of gradual waterfall, and I read reviews where you could splash and even swim in parts of the creek. A word of caution, though. The rocks are really slippery, and once your feet get wet, they hit the algae growing on the rocks and down you slide. Even the dry rocks are slippery if you touch with wet feet/shoes. There were people swimming in one small section that was deep enough to swim in, but it was crowded, and honestly the water looked more like a deep mud puddle. I didn’t feel comfortable submerging our bodies in there. But under different circumstances I wouldn’t have had as much reservation to do so.

Not a great place to take toddler-aged children or anyone who has trouble walking unassisted unless you just want to stay near the parking area to picnic or walk along the road. You could easily make it to the playground with young kids, but it’s not shaded, so in high summer heat and with the equipment not in the best kept shape, you’d prob want to look elsewhere for that.

But to hike and explore and picnic (there’s even a bike trail), this park really is a gem.
