Great tour including the butterfly exhibit, a little pricy but the children enjoyed it!!
I thought the guides would have some interesting stories about some of the governors and their families who lived there, and their decorations, etc.

NATURE AT ITS MOST LOVELY...Bring your camera folks, my kids as well as kids at heart were amazed by the natural beauty of the formation...just incredible.
It was well worth the hike to Arch Rock (maybe we'd bike next time instead of walk though, which if you have small children I'd recommend).

One can get some nice pics of the bridge it is on the lake and he interruptive center was very informative and we got some fantastic pics of our kids on the big painted lakes on the floors.

Lots of trails through deep woods, great for hiking children, camp spots kept rustic, many spaces for shade or sun lovers
There is a trail through a little clump of cedar trees leading to the a kids park giving our kids free rains to the park and back.

Because of the time we visited, we were able to assist with bottle feeding the fawns which the kids loved!

It's a nice ride to the island and was a great chance to educate my grand kids on the history of the area.
Easy and valet parking is great when traveling with young children and strollers.

... strong winds....it was great that they picked us up from the RV park and everyone from the Star Line was very nice...we traveled to Mackinac Island with our five kids....highly recommend taking the fast boats!
I always notice their smiles, how happy they are working with each other, how they find ways to have fun, and engage with the children to and from the island.

Great fun for the entire family!!! Everyone loved it from my 20 month year old to my husband who I think loved it the best.
Great all around family fun we enjoyed the butterfly collection and beatles at a great price to enjoy all day.

It is extremely informative, well laid out as far as a self guided tour of the important role of the fort as well as how life was for soldiers and families who called the fort home.

There were some great picture taking opportunities and I would recommend this to everybody- especially those who have children that are old enough to understand the fragility of the butterflies.
It was just me and my husband, but there were lots of families there with small children and they had lots of fun!
