Great pool with lots of water slides and great indoor pool for the kids as well as a great kids pool outside, great sauna as well
The hot tubs are also great, very hot and relaxing and have a view to the slides as well, so parents can relax while the children play.

There were beautiful sod roof historic homes that are a must see!!! Charming little town and fun place to take the family for the afternoon.
A re-creation of an Icelandic village, most of the buildings depict life as it was in the 19th century, from a church and a smithy to a grand home big enough for two well-to-do families.

Took far too many photos and videos Kids walked all the way to the top and were rewarded with stunning view of the lake in the valley below Great and other worldly

Because, besides of all sorts of natural beauty and art, it also has got a zoo and a super awesome playground complex for kids, a concert venue/stadium, and plenty of space for just walking around and chilling.
Our children (ages 6 and 8) loved the amusement park (same admission as zoo) with rides unlike what we find in NY.

Viking World Keflavik

Great for kids - they can climb aboard the replica Viking ship, try on the Viking garments and hold the weapons and the Viking soup is delicious.
We enjoyed the viking ship and history behind it but our family favourite was the history of the Norse gods and the audio guided tour.

its a fun place to visit with kids and even more fun if you read the Icelandic fairy tail about Gilitrutt before you visit it makes a fun day to go there and tell your kids the fairy tail of trolls in Iceland
We had a walk down to the harbour on our last afternoon in Iceland to visit the Giantess in the cave, children of all ages will love to see her sleeping and explore her home.

Such a special family collection of priceless Icelandic history and educational material as a reflection of Iceland’s entire geological glamor in one graciously organized place.
Learning about the family history that led to the creation of the museum was equally enjoyable.

I went on a daily art thingy there, we'd go 8:30 in the morning, walk at a house, explore and draw, play games, everything kids do, and we'd spend the entire day there.
We went with our 19 year old and she loved it and I saw younger families who really enjoyed the open space with their kids.

We visited with our children and we got some brilliant family photos there, the lighting in the winter is beautiful and the sculpture looks fantastic against the snowy backdrop.
You might have to wait for undersupervised children to stop climbing on it, but it's a gorgeous sculpture and it catches the light beautifully.

It was low tide and a great opportunity for the kids to run around a bit; exploring the beaches, spotting a variety of bird species and racing around the lighthouse.
We liked this place very much - means we had a nice family walk at low tide to the little island with the lighthouse.

only in Iceland will you find parents who drive their children out too see an exploding volcano.
