Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lombard gets all the credit, but this is just as cool. Lots of debate as to whether it really is the "world's most crookedest street," but no question it's crooked!

Nice view of the Mississippi. Perhaps the real joy though are the homes in this neighborhood. Some real gems from when this was a super prosperous community.

This is an amazing park. We enjoyed the sunset and the colorful fountains. If I had more time in Burlington, this would be one place I would revisit.

This is a hidden gem in Burlington! The water park is usually full and not always the cleanest.
The lifeguards here are very on top of their game being mindful of all things safety related!
Each time I’ve visited here, only a handful of people are here. While it lacks enough chairs, I’ve only had to lay on the concrete with a towel once!
The teens who frequent here often times show off their tremendous diving and acrobatic skills!!!
This pool reminds me of a classic 60’s pool at a lakeside resort! I hope the city continues to Mai rain it and keep it open next year!

Home of the Burlington Bees, a Los Angeles Angels affiliate. Went to a game while I was in town working. I got a reserved box set for $10. There's a handful of those the rest of the stadium is bleachers where ya just sit where ya wanna sit. Great way to spend some time. Nothing fancy about this ballpark. Typical concessions and team shop. The team shop has a nice collection of old programs. Worth popping in to see even if you're not buying anything. Plenty of free parking out front too.

This is a great information center for the entire state of Iowa. The staff member was really great at his job. There are a lot of souveniers to purchase.

Small but nice. One half is for smoking and the other half is non smoking. Doesn’t really matter as you can still smell the smoke and when you leave you smell like smoke. Better ventilation is needed.
Also the members help area is in the smoking area. So you have to deal with it if you need assistance.
    Bar service is sslloooowww(slow)
The night we were there , Wednesday, only the bartender was working. Working the bar and the floor. No drink servers. This was about 10 pm.
No excuse for this. Hard to get drinks this way.
Machines are good but there are a lot of really old machines that could stand to be replaced.
The hotel is convenient to the casino and adults only.
The buffet restaurant is worth skipping. Save your money and eat elsewhere.
    Gamble and enjoy the fun.

The lady that met us at the door was so very informative and friendly!! She could tell you all kinds of history about the house and family. Two other sisters that also worked at the museum happened to see where we were from and said that they had family that used to live in our town. Small world!! Everyone was so friendly and did a great job of making sure we stayed interested in the house and all of the family's belongings that they were so very lucky to have gotten from the family. GREAT MUSEUM!!!

Melissa was very helpful in providing me with the exact location of our acestorial grave sites. This large, peaceful site is maintained and very organized. From their onsite presence with maps and links to their in-person staff.

This history museum is located in the former Burlington library, which is a beautiful old building and worth the price of admission on its own. Lots of information on local history, including Chief Blackhawk and railroad tycoon Charles Perkins.

While the bowling game prices are reasonable, $3.50 per game , and the lanes are ok the rest of the place is definitely overdue for a remodel.
Practically every seat has rips, tears, or broken. Very shabby. The staff needs work on being friendly to customers. They are just going through the motions.
We were there on a Wednesday night and the bartender, young lady, was more interested in flirting with the bowlers away from the bar , than in waiting on customers. She seemed put out that she had to work.
In short, bowling great, staff thumbs down.
