Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's been a few years since I was last in this shopping centre and it has changed a lot. There used to be loads of empty units but it was nice to see them all full for a change although many of the stores I had never heard of before and many are quite expensive and suited to the older customer.
It does have a very dated feel to it and definitely not suited to the younger generation, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this shopping centre, the only plus side is that you get 4 hours free parking!

Built in 1449 this is the oldest building in the area. It is more of a fortified stone tower than a "castle" in the traditional sense. It is attached to, and now run by, the local Church of Scotland and is not open to casual passers by. However the interior two floors don't hold much in the way of surprises.

If you can get up to the roof you get a great view out over the local area.

This war memorial sits opposite the avenue shopping centre at a busy junction and would probably go unnoticed if it wasn't surrounded by a beautifully kept flower display as the memorial itself is rather small.
There is a few benches and it seems to be well kept but not the most impressive war memorial.
