We rolled up here around 5 pm on a Saturday where 10 races were being run for the day. The place opened up at 11:00 am and it quickly became apparent we were out of our league here. They let us in without paying admission (so nice) and by the time we saw race #9 run, most of the reserved boxes had emptied out, so we were able to get a fantastic view for the final race. The betting box people were super nice and helpful and even though we blindly picked a horse to bet on (we lost), it was still an amazing and fun experience. The real draw was just people watching. Wow- so this is how the top bred of KY live?! Gentlemen dressed in their finest, ladies in grand dresses and hats, prep school 20-somethings that were clearly trust fund babies. What a time.

This unique park is both entertaining and educational -- mainly educational. It really provides a good overview of what horses are all about, both now and throughout history. The museum collection is extensive to say the least. Overall, the Kentucky Horse Park is a terrific addition to all the things Kentucky is known for.

We took some 1st and 2nd graders to the Presiden't Day event and the kids really had a great time and enjoyed the learning games and activities. We appreciate the free admission for the kids. We were there for an hour and a half . . . and enjoyed every minute! We enjoyed Mrs. Lincoln too! :) Thanks for having this special day!

I have been on many horse farms tours. This one was distinctive in that we were taken around to see horses in all stages in the course of the tour including yearlings, weanlings, broodmares, and stallions. Our tour guide was extremely informative and friendly.

We took a tour of the mansion led by Docent Ian. It was an excellent tour providing in depth history of Henry Clay and descendants and house. The house is very elaborate with some very unique decorative features. Highly recommend.

Enjoy going to the arboretum all seasons of the year. It is a great place for a quick walk or afternoon. The sculptures and trails are really nice and it is such a peaceful place. A new way to explore is with the Kentucky Garden Trail passport, which is available in the visitors center and a really cool program.

Great venue for basketball and concerts. I have attended many games in Rupp and it is always a great time. They make it an unforgettable experience every time. I recently attended my first concert here and is was also very well done. Impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the building is always clean, just an overall nice facility. Also, they have the best ice cream!

Beautiful nature preserve with several hiking trails and sights to see including wildlife and water features. It is so close to downtown and a really nice way to get out and see the natural landscape.

I am always up for an adventure and glad I stumbled upon this location on the trail. This distillery is small currently and newer. I did learn they are currently in process of moving away from downtown Lexington to Midway KY, in a renovated Mansion. I am planning to visit the new location once it opens to see how they grew. The blue one were pretty decent and I tried something I’ve never had before. They had a Blue Corn bourbon that was unique. None for sell but was nice to try. The location was hard to find because the door is in the alley behind another brewery they share space with but again they moving to bigger and better. The guide was very kind and knew everything about their stuff. I got to bottle, and label my own single barrel bottle which was awesome. So hurry and visit before they move!!
