Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We arrived from the US, got settled in our room and realized our hotel was two blocks from the Colosseo. It was such a shock walking down the street with modern stores in probably 100 year old buildings, then looking down the road and seeing a building created before 100 AD! We walked around the perimeter and up into the hills. The next day, we found our tour company had purchases tours inside for everyone. There are queues everywhere and crowds galore, so bring your patience. There are elevators, but most of the travel to get inside requires steep steps. There is nowhere to sit, but is to be expected in a 2000 year old building. It was stunning to stand in a space where people stood almost 2000 years ago, watching prisoners fight animals for their lives and gladiators fight to the death. Also, found out later this is one of the Seven Wonders of the World!

You need a couple of hours and a good tour guide helps tremendously in navigating this other-worldly basilica. We marveled at the architecture, the design, the lighting, the 3 facades (creation, death, and resurrection). I wish we had more time to go through the historical portion beyond the actual sanctuary but if you are in Barcelona, you absolutely MUST visit this church.

The eiffel tower in paris is a must see, from there you can see paris in a panoramic view and it is amazing. I loved going there when the sun was already setting, because I had the opportunity to see the sunset and admire how the night was coming. the truth is very difficult to decide when it is more beautiful.

During our visit to Paris, Louvre Musee was definitely one our bucket list of our first visit, and we were mesmerized by the sheer Grandeur and Structure of the museum.

We were headed by an Italian guide who guided with the history of each the beautiful sculptures, paintings and art displayed in the museum. The Guide was very interesting and informative and we came to know a lot about the World history.

I must admit that the Louvre museum is definitely one of the most beautiful Art museum in the world, and it has a very vast range of collection of ancient Greek and Roman, Islamic, Egyptian collection of sculptures, The collection is divided among eight curatorial departments:  Egyptian antiquities, Near Eastern antiquities,  Greek, Etrucan, and Roman antiquities and Islamic Art; Sculpture; Decorative arts Paintings; Prints and Drawings.

A must visit for anyone interested in World history. I have enclosed some random pictures taken inside the museum which i found to be magnificent and mesmerizing.

I have an Historic Royal Palace membership and love to visit The Tower of London Jan-March when it is not too busy. The membership is great value for money and includes Hampton Court and Kensington Palace. I love The Tower of London and also the great helpful staff they have. I honestly believe that this is one of the best days out you could have. It's easy to kill half a day seeing all the Tower of London has to offer.

I actually travelled to the Netherlands mainly to visit the Anne Frank house, it was the main reason and i must say getting tickets is easy enough as long as you do that plenty of time in advance.

I have chosen the tour with introduction which I also recommend, especially if you don’t know that much about history.

The visit took about an hour and although you’re not allowed to take photos inside there is a very good gift shop within the museum where you can buy nice postcards and books

This was our last museum on the last day of a weeklong stay in Paris. Yes, we had done the Louvre and several other museums by this point. We had seen many beautiful works of art, but by far this was the museum that made the entire trip!! I don't know if it's the way they group the works, or if it was the selection of the works themselves, but this museum was the one that we talked about for weeks after. All the great masters, and such an accessible layout. Of course we loved having the opportunity to see through the giant clock faces as well, and the Rodin sculptures on the main floor were as equally amazing. If you have a limited time, or have limited interest in art museums, this is the one you should go to in France, not the Louvre. Highly recommend!

A yank, an aussie and three kids visited this museum in the heart of London and had the best of times. The British do this kind of thing so well. SO much to see and do, all set in a superb building stuffed full of artifacts and articles of interest. It should be compulsory to visit this place and spend at least four hours there.

The engineering of this astounding building is so impressive that it seems almost modern. But it is ancient and beautifully preserved and now one of the big iconic marvels of the city. So expect mobs of tourists all around you. But once you are inside, you will be astounded.

Notre Dame is even more magnificent now that it has been restored and centuries of grime have been removed from the stones and marble statues. I strongly recommend booking a time slot in advance which is free. This can be done online two days before you want to visit. There is a charge to go into the chancellery which contains displays of treasures saved from the fire.
Given that the cathedral has only recently reopened demand is very high so there are a lot of visitors at any time.
Parts of the outside the building are still undergoing restoration.

If you want to have a nice, calming and beautiful trip, the London Eye is the perfect place to go to. It’s a lovely place with many other places to visit. When you get in the little cab on the ferris wheel you start slowly going up and going into circles. You can basically see the whole city from the top of it! It looks exactly like it sounds. It looks like a big eye and it’s in London. I really liked it but the ride was very long so make sure you get water and a snack. The prices are also not my favourite thing but it’s worth it. Also make sure you wear comfy clothes as the ride is long and you’ll be sitting for a long time.

Buy your tickets ahead of time!! That's the theme for anything on Europe!! With pre bought tickets entry was super easy!! Yes, there are many steps to get up there, and yes there are TONS of people, but that's any tourist attraction. Go into any of these historical places with those things in mind and just enjoy the experience!

We started at an Airbnb at the base of the Acropolis and the view at night was awesome and made my anticipation for the next day, grow more and more!

Upon arrival I was in awe! To see the Parthenon, temple of Athena Nike and be where Paul & Plato once stood. We were able to take it all in, watch the sunset, and just enjoy ourselves. Truly worth it!

All 5 of us (including 3 teenagers) absolutely loved this experience. We did the 8:30am ticket, which also got us access to the bedroom with very cool furniture. Took 1 hour. The iPad, self-guided experience was perfect. Would highly recommend!
