Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Mary MMontgomery, TX33 contributionsAmazing place and the staff is hilarious! They are an amazing team and do so much to help keep the alligators free from extinction and we love that. - Roadsschoolingmomof3Illinois52 contributionsVisiting this family-owned General Store, which has been passed down through 6 generations, was truly special. Not only is it a working store, but it is also half museum (free) The store itself is like a time capsule, with displays that capture the charm and history of an old-fashioned general store.
We even had the chance to meet one of the great-great-grandsons of the original owner, adding a personal touch to our visit. The museum portion gave us an incredible look back in time with unique exhibits that fascinated my kids, me & my husband! Walking through felt like we were exploring a relic of the past, with every creak of the wooden floors adding to the experience.
Shopping there was a treat, too – I picked up some great finds that ranged from practical tools to unique home items and gifts that you wouldn’t see anywhere else. This was so much more than a store; it was a piece of living history, beautifully preserved and worth every moment we spent there. Highly recommend this as a must-visit!Written 7 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I rented a bike from Brooks Bike Shop in Covington which is right at the start of the trail.Written 8 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SpiritedSouthernGalMississippi2 contributionsI couldn't resist stopping by this charming antique shop during my travels, all thanks to a friend's recommendation. And I'm so glad I did! The shop had a wonderful assortment of nostalgic items and antiques that immediately caught my attention. I ended up purchasing the cutest tea cup and tea pot, adding a touch of vintage charm to my collection. If you're on the lookout for something unique, I highly recommend paying a visit to this delightful antique store. You're sure to find treasures that will evoke a sense of nostalgia and add a special touch to your home.Written 10 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TrueTexasTravelerAmarillo, TX978 contributionsIf you traveling through Louisiana on I-10 it is well worth your time to get off the highway and visit Downtown Covington. If you do, make sure you stop at the Tammany Trace Trailhead and visit the Covington Trailhead Museum. This city has an important history as a port on the north side of Lake Pontchartrain. With a short video and great exhibit detailing Covington's history, you'll leave with some good stories and a desire to explore the town even more. Plus, it's free!Written 3 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Kathy H5 contributionsThis was our first escape room as a family. My daughter had been to several others and I had only been once. (We should have book a beginner room). We had so much fun and and several times asked for help. The staff was very nice, helpful and wanted to make sure we had a good experience, which we did! We can’t wait to try other rooms. I highly recommend Escapology.Written 16 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
