What travellers are saying
- Dave IWestover, MD947 contributionsWe needed some new scenery for our daily walk and what better place than a zoo. Small, but both admission and parking are free. The staff are very friendly and willing to answer questions about the zoo or its animals. While I remember a time when the zoo was blessed with more animals, Salisbury zoo is still a great place to take young children and for a nice leisurely walk while in the commune of some great animals.Written 13 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alex KWilmington68 contributionsI have been to several Shorebirds games this summer. Tickets and concessions are very reasonable. The promotion giveaways are very attainable if one gets there early. It also gives baseball fans the ability to watch rising stars. Several former players are starting for the Orioles. There are special events for the kids. An outstanding facility for the fsmily.Written 21 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dianne K4 contributionsWe have enjoyed events, special art exhibits, classes, and seeing new artist, buying from the gift shop. Thirty years and never tire of it. Thanks for all the hard work put in to create a really nice exhibit, and thanks to all of the people that continue to impress.Written 31 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Justin WYork, PA4,437 contributionsMuch of this is nature trails. A small creek flows through it and various parts have a bridges to cross. You get very close to the water. There's also an area that runs beside a small creek and areas without water at all. I saw two viewing points Wicomico river, the main one is a narrow bridge. The plantation wasn't open but the landscaping was looked great as well as the buildings themselves.Written 24 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mary Carey5 contributionsThis is a huge playground complete with sandy area, slides, swings, little hiding placing. Kids about 10 and under love this place. - MarkHampstead, MD4 contributionsWe are Baseball Fans, and have loved the Orioles for a long time. It was interesting to see that so many players came from Salisbury and the surrounding area.Written 15 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - annswan2016Philadelphia, PA22 contributionsPoplar Hill is a beautifully maintained and restored residence dating back to 1795. As lovers of history, we enjoyed touring the property and appreciated interacting with our knowledgeable guide. She included local history and information about the former residents, both free and enslaved. I'm sure she adapts her presentation to her audience. This would be a terrific place to introduce children to how people lived long ago.
Located less than an hour from Ocean City, MD and from the Chesapeake Eastern Shore, this is an easy drive. There is free parking and admission, with request for donation.Written 28 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Stopped in since we had extra time & ended up spending over 2 hours there! SO much to look at and most of the prices were mostly fair and reasonable - we ended up going home with a trunk full of course!
What was even better was that it’s a vendor/booth type of store & many booths had current sales like 15%, 20%, and even 50%!

The drinks are terrific. Lots of good local beer on tap. Get there early to avoid waiting to be seated.Written 26 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jowana LViola, DE137 contributionsMy husband and I went to the Elvis Dinner show and enjoyed the dinner, although some of the food was a bit cold. There was a great selection of dessert but, they ran out of chocolate cake! The show was fantastic and a great value for the money. We have been to many events here and are always happy.Written 1 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - daisyferret1Bear, DE27,823 contributionsI used to visit this mall all the time as a kid with my Mom & Grandma. So, I hold fond memories of it. Now that I'm grown, I thought it would be nice to make a return visit with my kids and my Mom.
This visit we were not very impressed with the mall. It has some decent shops left like Boscov's. We thought the Burlington here was just OK. However, the rest of the mall just seemed unimpressive. The kids play area was gone. It seemed there were empty or closed up store fronts. I miss the old Montgomery Ward that used to be here ages ago. Also, I noticed that there is a Chuck E. Cheese in the mall now, but there is NO entrance that I could see from the mall. So, we did NOT even notice it until we were driving around the mall to leave.
Overall, it is just an OK mall. IF you are in the area, it will do, but there are better malls to be found.Written 28 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
