This is a beautiful park with lots to offer, beautiful gardens, walking trails,multiple playgrounds, lake with a trail around it, butterfly house, history walk in the park is fun, beautiful hosta and rose garden!
Fantastic paved walking trails, beautiful flowers planted all through the park, history and a Japanese garden makes this a great park.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the well displayed and informative Nature Centre displays (good for a rainy day outing too!) but also took advantage of the well marked, easy to navigate trails.
The Nature Center has educational activities, great programs for kids and adults, walking trails with wonderful scenic overlooks.

In addition to the zoo, the park has been redone and is a wonderful place to let the kids unwind and have a picnic.

Great place to climb around in the woods, on top of the bluffs or hike the trail that takes you on a pretty good hike to the Nature Center.

They have made walking trails and they go all over besides the park.The pond has geese regularly and you can stroll around it and sit and watch.I often take my lunch there and get out and eat and enjoy the beatuy....
You can easily walk to the Art Museum and then down the street to the Xeroscape Master Garden or across the street from the Art Museum to eat at Mexican Villa ( or get carry out and eat at the park).
