What travellers are saying
- Diana CDover, DE53 contributionsWe stayed on the mountain and luckily it was after a good snow fall. The skiing was very good. The rentals were easy to arrange, the equipment was good, the lifts are very high tech and it was not too crowded. The rooms were very comfortable: we stayed at Village Center and the rooms and main lobby were very attractive. Staff were very courteous and helpful —includes the bell boy, the registration desk staff, and the workers at the restaurants and the breakfast buffet. We decided to ski Big Sky over some other choices because the free breakfast tipped the pricey ski vacation in their favor. And the breakfast buffet is very good :). Now, the cocktails are pricey but there is a good amount of flavorful alcohol in them. We ate at Carabiner, Stone Pizza and Chet’s. All exquisite flavors. The outside hot tub under the stars was very warm which I like and they also have an outside heated pool. We truly enjoyed our stay and will visit again.Written 27 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - luv4phoodMarietta, GA837 contributionsWe had a little bit of time before our flight out of Bozeman so we stopped at this highly rated trail. And, now we know why it is so highly rated. This is a lovely trail, especially in the winter. It can be a bit slick after a snowfall, so take care.Written 2 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rick BRound Rock, TX1,305 contributionsBeehive Basin Trail in the Gallatin National Forest, Lee Metcalf Wilderness Area of the Spanish Peaks was an outstanding hike, in fact Fox News has named it one of the best 10 hikes in the world! The trail located near the Big Sky Ski Resort gains 1650 feet of elevation over 3.5 miles as it climbs towards Beehive Peak at 10482 feet. Near the top is a beautiful mountain lake and even farther up is another small pond. We trekked near to the point where it takes climbing gear to reach the summit.Written 22 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kate A2 contributionsMy daughter and I spent a wonderful morning cross country skiing on beautifully groomed trails. Going by all the draft horses (12 teams at least) enjoying their breakfast was an added treat. The gear was great and the help setting us up was knowledgable and fun. The cookies after were pretty good too!Written 21 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Charlie S2 contributionsA truly unique experience if you are fortunate enough to swing a visit. There are some places so exclusive that once inside, they actually feel kicked back. Here, the staff is so totally professional that they blend into the scenery, while still always being there to provide whatever you need. Want to carry your own gear? Sure, they'll just ask if you want some directions to the stashes. Want to be helped? You'll be told without asking that your skis will be waiting by the Warren Miller statue, just ask if you can't find them. And your skis WILL be there. There's no show of "service dramatics" like Deer Valley. It's the happy staff's job to be unobtrusive, but they'll discuss the best runs in the French Alps or the Selkirks with you if you engage them in conversation. This is one of those rare atmospheres where EVERYONE is inside the velvet rope, so nobody is thinking about anything but the exquisite skiing. Picture a day at Megeve, Kirkwood, Snow Basin or Aspen Highlands with nobody there but you and your buds. Breakfast in a cavernous room fit for alpine royalty is "take whatever you want, sit wherever you want." No staff snootiness. The steep and deep is here if you want it (and the great Scott Schmidt will show you how to get to the goods himself), and the groomers on a good snow day rival the best that Snowmass can offer. In short, there's no reason not to love this place as much as you love Bridger or Revvy or Cham. It's the real deal, just presented in a different way. The only trick is swinging that invite.Written 1 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Barnett3 contributionsYou have to be looking for this place because it's easy to just drive by without noticing the sign. But don't miss it! It's just a nice free surprise that only requires a few minutes for a beautiful view of the Chapel with Lone Peak in the background that is great for pictures,Written 3 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Laura_Casas33Hickory, NC47 contributionsMy visit to Solace Spa was the perfect quick getaway from the ski slopes. My masseuse Nicole was very nice, knowledgeable and helped me improve my shoulder pain.Written 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Danica SBowdon, ND14 contributionsWe went skiing at Big Sky Resort today. We had a family of 10 adults and 4 children (5 and under). We got to the resort and couldn’t get passes until 12 and equipment until 12:30. We had half day passes so the timing worked out okay.
When we got our equipment they were helpful in getting us equipment, but not in how to use it. We were sent out to the hills with no explanations in where to go, or how to get there.
We figured out where the learner slope was and how to use it and went from there. After we got used to things the skiing was great! We went up a couple of different lifts and down many different hills. I think every time we went down, even if we started in the same place, we went down a different way!
All in all it was a great, fun experience!Written 11 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Also, love that they let you customize your ride (we wanted 4 hour ride instead of the usual 1-2 hours, and Caroline was a great guide. Worked to make sure that each saddle setup was proper for each rider, and was knowledgeable about plants and wildlife. We took a trail into the National Forest, and then just explored. Amazing ride through snow, sage, forest and hills. Horse is a great way to experience the wildernes, and we felt like we had it all to ourselves. Will definitely use them again, and would recommend to others going to Big Sky/Bozeman.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - pfaviaCrystal Lake, IL893 contributionsGolfed Big Sky gold course with my wife. We both felt that the course had some very pretty views and was well maintained. Greens could be rolled a little tighter and the course could use a little more personality, but overall we enjoyed the visit. Friendly staff. Reasonable value for the greens fees charged (includes riding or pull cart). We would visit again.Written 10 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Benjamin KValhalla, NY108 contributionsWhat an amazing service; you rent items and they bring to your hotel. Then, if something goes wrong, or doesn't fit well, they will immediately meet you at the Mountain and take care of business. Friendly staff and without an attitude. I owe you guys one.... Do me a favor and tip these guys, they work hard. Thank you!Written 20 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
