There are hundreds of parks with breathtaking views of the lake, miles of hiking trails and several zip lining spots around the lake.
As you drive around the lake at one point you will enter the Lake Tahoe National Park, interestingly, both California and Nevada have designated National State Park areas on their respective sides.

Thus, hiking The FLUME TRAIL was a perfect solution for me, to replace the brutal biking needed to even get to THE FLUME from Spooner Lake State Park.
