Highly recommend taking the Sandia Crest Byway all the way to the peak. Awesome views. Snow was still on the ground, beautiful scenery. Peaceful. Inspiring.

We had a wonderful visit to Hollywick Farms. The owners are wonderful, they are so gracious to share their farm with visitors. We learned so much about alpacas, and even got alpaca kisses. We highly recommend visiting. Just so you know, it is $5 per person, but after your tour, they apply your admission cost toward any gift shop purchase.

We were on our annual visit to Tinkertown and we stopped here. I fell in love with a framed photograph of the woods and approached the sales person. Well, it was the only item in the store NOT for sale! We left, but that image did not leave my soul. A few months later we drove back there and I approached the owner of the store again. I explained how this image was stuck in my soul and I had flown back to NM from TN to buy the photo. Long story short, the owner of the store contacted the photographer and another copy was made. It was customized to fit my needs.

Next to Albuquerque this resort is great for beginners, the day we went had fresh snow, it is one of the closest resort to drive to from Texas.

This course deserves its top 50 in US ranking. Everything about it is 5 stars. Top conditions; great routing; consistently friendly staff. Food and service in grill room equally good. Worth the high green fee given the quality. Be prepared, though, to struggle on greens unless you've played this course many times before.
