Love this Quaint little to with many shops to go into, including Opies candy store which also serves up the candy you remember as a kid (showing my age).

Did the non audio tour (since we had kids, and well, that is impossible).

There are several collections covering the history of the area, living as an indigenous person, as a settler, as a farmer growing tobacco, railroad history and a variety of child friendly exhibits, too.
The admission is great and there are 4 levels to tour plus an area for kids to explore and learn.

The selection is huge and we had as much fun as the actual little kids in the store hoopin' and hollerin' over the candies we remembered from our youth.
At 5.95 a pound you can get your fill of candy and then some, just about all the candy you got as a kid are here, and most are in jars so you can mix and match to get a wide variety.

In addition to the wonderful walking trails that wind along the river, there are many activities for kids.
They have a terrific playground area for young kids, fields, picnic facilities, etc.
