We visited this with our young children and dog. We were pleasantly surprised we could take our dog inside into all the rooms. Car parking was free.
The kids were kept amused by a challenge to spot the amount of mice and rats hidden in each room. You get a booklet with some basic facts about each room and challenges for older children.
It took us two hours including eating there but we didn’t take everything in due to the children distracting us. Your ticket is valid for a year but I couldn’t see us returning with the children.
The exhibition was interesting and a chilling reminder of the Cold War.
There’s a room where you can sit in a listen to a bbc broadcast whilst listening to how a nuclear explosion may sound if you were near by and at home.
There is also a 45 min film which isn’t suitable for children, but they do warn you at the start.
There were some equipment and displays from the Soviet Union which added to the experience.
There are a lot of rooms with lots of equipment in which became a bit repetitive.
There was no information on how they would survive in terms of drinking and food storage which I thought was a little strange.
I enjoyed it as we were taught about the nuclear threat in our humanities a level in the 80s when the bunker was in use until the fall of the iron curtain in the 90s.

What a gem of place to visit. Ours was a group visit. Katy handled our booking superbly and every aspect fell into place. We had a great tour of the grounds by Kyle, the head gardener. The gardens are colourful and exceptionally well maintained. Lana gave us a most comprehensive detailed guided tour of the house. A great place to visit.

Visited whilst passing on the way to Wales for the experience of swimming in an inland brine pool and I wasn’t disappointed. Staff were helpful and courteous and explained where to go. Signage was straightforward and easy to understand. The venue was clean and tidy and the outdoor swimming was amazing!

The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was because you have to pay for parking - they used to refund your parking. Leisure centres really ought to have feee parking, especially when you’ve paid to use the facilities.

This a small zoo situated within Reaseheath agricultural college near Nantwich. On arriva at the college there is free car parking available. Small walk to the zoo on the flat. Part of the zoo is closed at the moment due to enhancements being made to some enclosures. So entry price is reduced. First thing we saw was a massive enclosure full of guinea pigs. They had masses of room to interact and play around in. CUTE 😍 Tapir. Lively dog size little creatures seemingly having a great time playing together. Serval cat sunbathing. Lots of different types of reptiles. An amazing giant glass tank filling a whole wall full of tropical fish. Also other animals to see. When I last visited there were birds of prey and meerkats. I think they may have been in the part closed of for enclosure enhancements. Cafe on site, which looks new.

Lovely old market in the heart of Nantwich with both indoor & outdoor stalls, cafes etc. Always lively & something to buy. The stalls sell clothes, household good, foods including cheeses, meats & pies and plenty more. The cafes are always busy and excellent prices. Once a month there is also a "Makers/Farmers" market which is also located in the heart of Nantwich just a few metres from the indoor market. Nantwich itself is well worth a visit, very historical old town a real experience wondering around the old streets.

We had a walk around the Church grounds whilst staying nextdoor at the Swan Inn. Lovely ambience about the place. Lots of history and an absolutely huge Churchyard with lots of really ancient Grave Stones. The Church did not open on the Sunday whilst we were there. The Bell's chime every half an hour 24 hours a day.

As RHS members, we had free entry to the gardens at Bridgemere - a bonus at this time of year. We were pleasantly surprised at how much there was to see, and how much the gardens had been extended since our last visit (around 10 years ago). Can definitely recommend, although some might say that the entry price is a little steep.
