Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It’s a bit of a trek from the main car park but well worth the walk on a nice warm day! Ok it’s not exactly a pure sandy beach but still nice. There aren’t exactly signs explaining that it’s a nudist beach but you will soon find other naked sunbathers once there. The feeling of swimming in the sea naked is total freedom. Ok the downside like many places of this sort are the “Meerkats” that pop up or walk through the dunes and I’m afraid here and as in other places I tend to stand and face them out! My boobs and bits on full display and an angry face and I find they scamper away easily pleased! Idiots!! But don’t let it spoil your enjoyment of this lovely beach.

Jaywick beach is a rare treasure. It's got beautiful golden sands, rocks to clamber over, rare vegetation such as Sea Holly and Sea Campions, and very few people. The only problem is that the council treat the place like crap or rather a rubbish dump - they closed the toilets even before the pandemic without providing new ones and do not empty the bins very often, if ever, yet they empty Clacton's multiple times a day. Best to bring a picnic as there are not a lot of good eateries around, but if you forget, snacks can be purchased at a couple of nearby shops.

Took my Mum as was told it was flat and suitable for elderly. Not suitable for disabled people. Toilets aren't accessible. There is a step. Not wheelchair friendly 😞
Can't visit the cafes or get down to the beach as down a very steep long slope. Wouldn't be able to get an elderly person down there especially in a wheelchair or with a walker. Disappointing. Will not visit again
