Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Allan S1 contributionI made the Tour with my brother and it was well worth the visit. The history was amazing and Martin our guide explained the processing of beers in a very professional way. For anyone thinking of making the tour, don't hesitate, you will not be disappointed.Written 16 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Glynis98Canterbury, UK456 contributionsThis is such an amazing place. It looks like a small room but turns out to be a series of houses joined together going up to the first floor and out to a big shed and garden at the back. Just astonishing how it winds around.
It covers the development of the town through time from Neolithic and Iron age discoveries through a Roman settlement, Saxon and Viking times and the Normans who built an Abbey.
The volunteer staff are very knowledgable and helpful.
There are a lot of hands on tasks to keep small children engaged too.
It is free to enter but there is a card reader so you can make card or cash donations to help with the upkeep.Written 26 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Olga Romanov was most welcoming, funny, frank and gave us two hours of insight into her life and the lives of her parents and grandparents who escaped the revolution. The history is fascinating, as is how she is preserving the farmhouse for the future. Tours need to be booked and are only on some days. Well worth the visit.Written 10 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- 118mikkidLondon, UK19 contributionsThis place is a secret hidden gem in faversham Kent. - JenniferIlford, UK8 contributionsIt was a great event and amazing experience. Depending on whether you want to travel back to the town centre towards train station, aim for Church Street when going back, and use Tesco as your landmark. If you are visiting for a music event, refreshments will be served during the interval. I will definitely attend again (thanking the singers for serving apple juice together with white wine!). However, bring a shawl or an over coat because it is a big building and you might feel a draft after a while. The building dates back to the 13th Century and the front door makes the whole visit worthwhile (if you love medieval architecture). To see the original large doors that protected the building from inside was very impressive. The stained-glass windows were outstanding and added to the occasion as the choral singers sang. There are original steps and stoned floor paving everywhere; so be aware when walking around the building. Whilst I was waiting at the train station (every hour) and the sun started to go down the Church’s spiral lit up in blue; it towered across over the town standing out as the beacon of Hope.Written 15 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gary6 contributionsFantastic lovely historic property. Poppy was very knowledable about the building and gave a brilliant introduction to the building. The museum really pieces together the story od Ospringe and its significance in the medieval era, and medieval Kent.
The price was only ÂŁ4 and we'll worth every penny. Engaging for all audiences.Written 2 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Helen O1 contributionHad the most amazing return visit to Sheldon Spa, for a few treatments and a spot to eat. Alice looked after me and I was in very safe and healing hands. The head massage as part of my facial, really connected and I could feel the healing it was giving. Including the added bonus of clearing my sinuses! Jo and her team were also there, ensuring that I was cocooned in their lovely family feeling, hugely nurturing and caring environment. The treatments were fantastic and the food was wonderful. I left in a bubble of calm, glowing and feeling uplifted. A beautiful, caring, comfortable and professional haven.Written 19 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TessiettBrisbane, Australia302 contributionsWell what a friendly greeting when we walked in but the biggest surprise was the Magda carta and other very old surviving documents in a room at the back of the center.
