Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Occasional TravellerWarwickshire, UK54 contributionsInteresting but fairly small attraction, well worth a visit. Cute gift shop too. We parked at the Turner Contemporary and walked across to the grotto.Written 24 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Older member staff corrected this, also I was told I would get 10% of my airfix products which was great. So I brought a load stuff. Presented the airfix card. And did not receive 10% off. My fault partly as I didn't check my reciept. Came down from Norfolk for my birthday treat. Would go again if I,was in the area.Written 7 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Sgt_WilsonNorfolk, UK96 contributionsIf you are in Margate we would certainly advise that you go visit this free quirky museum, which explains all about crabs and how they are very important to our eco-system.
The information is presented in a very modern and humourous way, making it easy to understand.
The crab model village is a particular highlight, and so too is the toilet!Written 25 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It needs some updating but so much potential. The upstairs was closed due to a leaking roof. Hope to revisit when it’s repaired.Written 2 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert V1 contributionNot a great fan of contemporary art but loved this visit because it stimulated my brain in a variety of ways. The Stephen Cripps exhibition gradually drew me in from scepticism to complete absorption. A fascinating character. This is not an Uffizi exhibition, where one can feel madonnaed out. It's an exploration of a creative person's mind, which left me determined to find out more about Stephen Cripps - though no book in the bookshop! Then, the Durer polyhedron-inspired experience plays with the mind in different ways - in particular gazing down into the water-pulsating balls with constantly shifting shapes and colours as if alive. Surreal. Then there was my first experience of virtual reality, after 15 minutes of which it took me some time for my mind to come down to a steadiness of perception. The teleautomata display presented some brilliant use of collage, which I regret not having time to appreciate properly - each work needs time to examine the intricate interweaving of material, shape etc. Please, go with an open mind and your intelligence fully engaged. The Turner gallery is exploring the Waste Land of modern life - and for God's sake, it's free! No more mean-minded reviews!Written 29 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
