Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- MarchWeekenderPortsmouth, UK168 contributionsWe went to dreamland earlier this week. Lat here in 2001. Much scaled back from its hay day however it didn’t disappoint. Really enjoy some traditional rides such as the dogems and big wheel along with the ghost train! Good value when you get 20
Tokens for £40 making it £2 a ride. It was a shame that the scenic railway was out of action when we visited. All in all a good day. Beware drinks and food are expensive but do as we did and bring your own!Written 30 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Really enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours.Written 10 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SassywentzRamsgate, UK151 contributionsCame here with my partner one weekend. We've found it very hard to find accessible escape rooms and CTRL ALT ESC clearly stated on their website that Ye Olde Lock Inn was accessible and much to our delight, it was completely accessible! There was one short steep ramp in the room but it is easy to get around with a walker and I'm sure easy when using a wheelchair too. The staff were fantastic, the person who guided us through the experience was welcoming, they made sure everything was an inclusive as possible, made it even more fun and enjoyable. And they also kindly showed me around after we'd finished so we could see how easy it would be to get into the other rooms. They also said I can take my time getting to the rooms and have breaks when needed, which is very much appreciated!
After we'd finished the room they also took the time to talk to us about the room we'd just completed.
Highly recommend and we came back to do Detention and Behind Number 7. Definitely more challenging but still great fun. These were up some stairs and I was able to take my time getting up and down. There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor.
Brilliant escape room! Detention really stood out to us!Written 15 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
