Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It’s ok lots of hills and steps to negotiate, and when the seas out it’s far out , quite a walk for ice creams as well but it’s pretty enough

We had a great time at the Filey Bay Whisky tour. My mother, wife and baby relaxed in the coffee shop whilst my dad and I went on the tour. The coffee shop food was excellent as was the service from all the staff. It was also nice to see super clean toilets and baby facilities. The place itself is on an industrial estate but parking was easy and plenty of it when we visited. The tour itself we were very lucky as others had changed at the last minute so its was just dad and myself. Pretty much a private tour. The tour guide was a young lady who was very knowledgeable about all things whisky and the distillery's processes. Very friendly, bubbly and easy to listen too. Who knew the process for whisky starts out the same as beer! After the tour we had 3 drams of whisky to try which were all very different and the last one quite potent! all very nice though and all the more sweeter knowing they were all field to bottle here in Yorkshire! We also got to keep our whisky glass which was a nice surprise.
I would recommend going to the distillery if not for the tour then just for a look around, but as a non-whisky drinker I had a very good time and thoroughly recommend visiting. We will definitely be coming back.

Fab place to spend a couple of hours with lots of variety of animals and birds plus play and garden areas

A reasonable entry fee and well thought out route through the park meant that you got to see all of the animals

Great day out for a 17 month old

It’s all outdoors however so very dependent on good/dry weather

The museum has 4 rooms downstairs and 4 rooms upstairs. Although she said well behaved dogs were welcome we took it in turns waiting in the garden as it was a lovely day. It’s only £2.50 and was interesting to walk around.

Although it’s February the gardens are well tended, there’s plenty of seating available.
Of note our visit there was a gale force westerly wind blowing, so it’s sheltered here from the large houses hotels per a wind break.
Now we’ve been here in February on a gale force easterly wind and it’s putting it mildly freezing.
Bit going back to the gardens they should look a treat in the summer.

Very windy on our first visit to Filey Brigg
I noted looking from Filey bay cars parked up at the north end of the beach headland.
OS map out and located the car park at the Brigg.
Now it’s free parking February but I suspect from
    Easter onwards that will alter.
Walked along the well trodden pathway to the headland it’s a bit muddy in places but manageable.
Our visit was a lead skies day with a tough westerly gale wind blowing.
Some information boards along the way giving the walker an idea what was what years ago.
It’s on the Cleveland way 8 miles walk to Scarborough can be undertaken when the weathers not so fierce
Recommended walk has long per usual you don’t get too near the crumbling Cliff edges !! .
Views would be ace on a clear calm sunny day.

Beautiful quiet and simplistic site. We went with our 5 children and they entertained themselves for hours on the large grassed area and purpose built dog walk. Lovely clean facilities with hot running water. Lots to do in surrounding areas just a short drive away. We will be back again, thank you for having us 😁

Lovely walking through here, whatever the season. Shaded by trees, lovely picnic area and play areas for children.....this time it was very quiet and the ducks were in boating lake enjoying a swim!

I saw a few pictures online and thought it looked like a beautiful church to visit. I read that this church, placed at the top of a cliff was like a beacon to homecoming fishermen. A beautiful church about 800 years old.

Not a lot of car parking but turns out the bells ringers had arrived to practice, so we had the joy of the bells (apparently there are 6) as we walked around the graveyard. A very well kept graveyard.

I had seen the monument in pictures but no mention of whos it was. It turns out it was built by a loving son for his parents, unfortunately a lot of the names were unrecognisable. And its now falling into disrepair, such a shame for a beautiful monument.

A great talking point for those walking along Filey sea front. A very imposing feature and well done to the family who paid for it to become a permanent feature, just as they did with the one in Scarborough.

You don't have to pay for parking or entry, it's run on donations, the hides were clean, there is lots of information about the birds, all in all, a great place for birdwatching.

We tackled a stretch of the Wolds Way from Filey. We enjoyed a variety of beautiful landsscapes, some amazing bird life and plenty of butterflies and wild flowers.
