We tasted port,gin and whiskey and some superb drinks were tasted. With smile as you enter from the friendly bar staff you feel quite at house and in winter with the fire going it’s heaven. Good selection of draft and hand pulled beers to go at you are spoilt for choice,I do like the bass,well kept. - CheckleyHappyHStoke-on-Trent, UK451 contributionsGoing to a pub as a group of 10 (5 couples) can sometimes be a challenge but the Cock Inn is a big pub so we had space. The bar staff were also quick to serve.
There was a great blues singer on Saturday night which helped create a buzzing atmosphere. Clientele was both young (over 18) and old!
Joules ale is always good, particularly when kept well (which it is at The Cock).
Whilst we didnt eat on this occasion we have done before and were pleased with what we got.

Lots of locals sat or stood at the bar and they seemed to pick up when any non locals spoke.

Lovely for a quite afternoon drink. Small but nice.
