Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Sandwell Is A Decent Pub That Offer A Fantastic Range Of Commercial And Cask Ales And Is One Of The Two Pubs That We Visited In West Bromwich. The Sandwell Is A Cask Accredited Pub And Is A Huge One Roomed Pub With Many Interesting Items Throughout The Whole Pubs Interior With Superb Seating Options. We Went In Here While Heading Towards Wolverhampton On The West Midlands Metro And Decided To Jump Off At West Bromwich Central To Break The Journey Up.Once We Gave Our Track And Trace Details We Ordered Some Ciders From The Bar And Then Sat By The Main Bar Area. The Ciders We Had Were A Few Glasses Of Strongebow Brewery Fruit Ciders Which Where Served Iced Cold And Were Extremely Cheap. This Is A Great Pub With Friendly Staff And Was Well Worth A Visit And Would Go Again If Ever We Are In This Area.Very Easy To Locate From West Bromwich Central West Midland Metro Its A Two Minute Walk Along West Bromwich Ringway Then Turn Right Onto St Micheal Street Onto High Street.(This Is My First Review Of The Sandwell).
    Opening Hours.
    Monday-Friday-10.00-20.00.
    Saturday-10.00-22.00.
    Sunday-10.00-20.00.

My wife and I went, we had the chilli fish which was really good, a chicken claypot (my favourite... I have tried other places but here is the best), chicken and mushroom balti, mushroom fried rice (really fluffy), garlic naan, peshwari naan and a portion of chips which were lovely and crispy. All of the only came to £34.

There isn't much in the way of decor in the restaurant but that is reflected in the price compared to other establishments like the Red Lion which is now very expensive and in my opinion not as good as it used to be.

Lovely roomy quiet pub on our early noon visit.

6 ales & 3 ciders available when we were there. They were good quality drinks.

TV above dart board right hand side

Small car park to right hand side of pub.

79 bus from West Bromwich about a 5 min walk away on main road. 30 & 47 buses stops same road as the pub is on, but less frequent in service.

    No cobs available.

Toilets situated in the skinny centre corridor.

I enjoyed a nice glass of Tribute ale and my partner had Merlot. It was quiet for a Friday afternoon, but the bar staff were friendly. No problems or hostilities from any of the regular customers.
Some memorable photos of the local history on the walls.
Nice rear courtyard and front beer garden.

Family meal out consisting of four adults and 14yr and 11 yr old. Grills were ok but the Currys are served in a very small I would say side portion sized dish. Had better but had worse! Good friendly service.
