Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Oatlands is an interesting village well worth a visit to see the lovely old sandstone buildings. While there we went to Callington Mill Distillery for lunch. This is an attractive property with interesting grounds including the restored windmill and even an old Chev truck to cart barrels.
The restaurant building also houses the whisky and gin displays, other merchandise and a great view of the vats through a full wall of glass.
The staff members were all friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We tried a tasting of a flight of four whisky nips, well worth the $30 cost. Sadly the food was a disappointment and expensive for what was served. The wallaby was very tough, the beef salad mainly leaves with little bullets of beef. A bowl of fries for $19 is a bit steep.
Go for the whisky experience and perhaps a simple snack.

11.3.23, gr8 72hr stopover, ticks all the boxes. BUT...travellers need to be thoughtful how they park their rv's. Many came in quite late, best spots taken, parked up infront of other peoples vehicles, if there was an emergency (eg medical), people need to be able to get their car/van out, some parked side to fence/boundary thus taking up 2spaces, experienced campers know how it works

We enjoyed wandering around the town, entering some of the old buildings, learning the history in Oatlands. These old buildings are beautiful and the town has gone through alot of effort to provide a detailed history. Enjoy the architecture of a bygone era. Do the walk.

This is a little sanctuary with a wide range of beautiful homewares for inside and out. Not obviously signed - it’s down the lane next to the Crepes cafe. Enjoy!

We visited the shop today and the woman was so rude. We walked out without buying a thing we won’t be returning , but happily spent our money in another shop down the street

Good signage on the Midland Highway draws attention to this large rest area with amenities, and a variety of animal shaped toparies.

Absolute must to visit & shop at The Lucky Ewe!
Great range of high quality craft supplies, many that you won’t easily find elsewhere. Wonderful to spend time and check out the beautiful stock, especially if the fire is on.
Customer service is always top notch with knowledgeable advice and guidance.
