Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The drive-round of the main part of the safari was disappointing. It was jammed solid most of the time. Not safari's fault but folk were instructed not to stop on the right hand side of the road. However this was ignored by a large number of folk and as a result it was jammed for quite long breaks.

An extended family morning out for a walk around Arley Arboretum, we were a little limited as to where we could walk due to having a wheelchair but managed to have a walk around the grounds, into the woodland and around the maze.

As well as this we saw the animals and the water fountain and visited the cafe for a snack.

A little on the pricey side but the grounds are well maintained and there's plenty to see. We will certainly be back.

A Fascinating museum packed with local history and plenty of hands on stuff to help children to get involved. The independent shops give a great opportunity to see real craftspeople at work and to buy unique, quality pieces. Very much worth a visit!

A fantastic visit to Go Ape Wyre to do the Tree Top Challenge course. From the moment we arrived the Go Ape team were great, really helpful and encouraging. The course was brilliant, with lots of variety of obstacles in a beautiful setting. Would highly recommend this.

    A lovely forest.

Enjoyed the 5km trail - pathway very wide so plenty of room for everyone.

    Well maintained.

Snuck into the Gruffalo path a couple of times at end which is cute.

Saw a muntjac by cafe which was cool!

Plenty of car parking. Price reasonable.

Also went to the cafe and had some food. Very reasonably priced but not the best I’ve ever had.

    Overall, would like to
    Visit again.

Lovely scenic location, bit of a walk downhill from the car park, but if the sun is out is lovely , sometimes yachts on the reservoir , Could do with a few more seats as quite a trek, no toilets at all. ideal for dog walking.

I noticed this cafe on my way to the shops from the car park. I popped in and wasn't disappointed at all. Good selection at reasonable prices and good quality. Very friendly and helpful staff/volunteers. I felt totally comfortable being on my own which isn't always the case. .Will come back with hubby/friends

We hired the lodge on Willow pond and had the whole half of the lake around the lodge to ourselves. The fish were practically jumping onto the line and we didn't use any special bait just bread, sweetcorn, hot dogs and luncheon meat. Our landing net wasn't big enough for some of the fish. The lodge itself had everything we needed from a gas bbq on the deck, 2 bedrooms which can be made up with single beds or zip them together for doubles. Full size cooker and a fridge freezer, microwave, toaster etc. Bathroom with walk in shower and plenty of hot water. Separate sitting room with tv and a couple of sofas. What was also handy was a really good size shed to keep all fishing stuff in to save having to mess the lodge up, there was even room for bikes if you have them. Loved the peace and quiet and the owners were very accommodating and friendly.

While looking for a different local walk we stumbled across this place on the National Trust website. With a car park suitable for about a dozen cars and a circular walk of between 3 and 4 miles which is dog friendly and very few other walkers

The Mill itself is a lovely little building in great condition with information boards inside about its use and history and fully accessible.

While not a must see, if you are a local looking for some quiet countryside time, then this is probably somewhere you haven't been and should have a look.

We hosted a cocktail-making evening at our house with Joel as tutor. It was great fun, great value and Joel was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended.
