Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Old Ship Inn is a fabulous, old style British boozer with traditional furnishings and decor. It’s quite a large pub but with a layout including a couple of side snugs it has a nice, cosy feel to it.

The main bar area is roomy and has attractive leather style wall seating as well as separate tables and chairs. Amenities include a pool table, telly for sport and good music streaming. Even on a cold Monday evening the pub had a welcome and warm atmosphere and is clearly a popular local.

Spotlessly clean and tidy and with excellent service, this really is a top pub.
I doubt that there is a better one in Bridlington.

I always find a warm, friendly welcome whenever I visit the Priory Bar

Staffed by a group of enthusiastic youngsters, the Priory Bar offers a wide selection of Yorkshire’s own brewed drinks including Wold Top Beer and Priory Vodka.

Roost Coffee from Melton and True Teas from York.

Plus there own successful football and darts teams

Popped in on a red hot day. The staff bought fresh water for the dog and we sat in the garden. Beer good, garden pretty with lovely hanging baskets... a proper sun trap.

Ten of us went on a Wednesday quiz night which was also curry night. Curry with a pint was £5.95 and some other meals similar price. Three real ales to choose from and all drinks were great value. Service was good from young helpful staff. We didn't win the quiz but enjoyed our evening.

Called into this dog friendly, child friendly bar at half term. What a great find. Everything reasonably priced and I had one of the best value lunches I can remember. I had the hunters chicken baguette and it was huge. I must have been eating it for half an hour. Also a nod to the hard working friendly chap behind the bar. Next time I’m in Brid I’ll be calling here for lunch again.

We have visited the Marine Bar twice a week for our evening meal for at least the past four months. We don’t eat large meals as we are in our 70’s and the Senior Meals were ideal. The management have now decided to offer these meals at lunchtime only probably thinking they can make more out of the holiday makers. We live very close and will be looking elsewhere. We know other couples who are also disappointed. We also spend another £30 on drinks which they will lost. Staff say it’s a management decision.

This is quite a buzzing place in a fairly quiet but not unattractive town. Bar staff are friendly and if a little inexperienced it doesn’t matter as they have good customer rapport. I enjoyed my evening here and would recommend especially as it is all fresh.

We called in whilst trying out other pubs other than the town centre and we called in this refurbished and renamed boozer ( cricketers ) found friendly people and friendly bar staff and a good pint of Leeds pale ale. Give it ago as it is close to the railway station.

Me and a few mates went to watch the cup final yesterday, was having a great time watched the full game and couldn’t wait to celebrate and watch United lift the cup. However, at the full time whistle they turned the channel over to wrestling?! People were asking if they could change it back but the staff refused! We all couldn’t believe it
