We have been here many times! We visit this place every time we come to Cornwall as it is a very beautiful place to walk around in nature. Amazing views, nice woodland walks, nice streams. Would recommend this Forrest bathing experience .

A good way to pass a couple of hours.
The pools make for some lovely photos and it was interesting to learn that the water is continuously pumped and used on site.

Liked the mineral display but needs better lighting.

Fairy gardens were a bit wet and muddy but it was October. Remember to get a ribbon.

Decent little cafe and shop but a bit pricey.

    Great little find.
We visited Porfell as a late afternoon trip, spent around 2 hours there. Visited with our 16 month old daughter, so took a little longer to walk around. Enclosure viewing open so she could see without been lifted up at every point.
    Staff all welcoming/friendly.
Agree with some of the comments around it been a little run down, but think you need too see past this. Advised by staff that the park is ran solely on visitor admissions and donations. I imagine Covid didn't help with this.
I wouldn't say it's a full day trip out, but more of a couple of hours.
Cost wise, we didn't find it expensive but think this very much depends on personal views etc.
We enjoyed it :) and would recommend.

Unusual alignment of stone circles in a moorland environment. Wonderful views all round and a must visit for those interested in our prehistoric legacy.

Took the dogs for a walk, had a few children with us. Despite signs up saying dogs to be kept on a lead, we saw lots of dogs running free and lots of dogs' mess, mainly at the entrance to the circular walk. Therefore not the best place for children. Maybe it will be cleaner in the Spring and Summer.

Just moved to area, delighted to have this on our doorstep. A great evening watching The Countrymen perform live music - what an absolute treat after so long!
    Volunteer staff wonderfully welcoming and
helpful. Covid guidelines superbly well managed. Only slight downside was the food, supplied by a local pub. We chose the roast pork in a roll option. Very long queue at the food booth to pay as drinks had to be rung up on a separate till. Not 100% lovely food to be honest, abit fatty and cold, but really nice to be offered the chance to have something to eat before the show added to the occasion. Absolutely definitely recommend this wonderful venue and look forward to being a regular.

Nicely set out museum in this very picturesque Cornish town.
A thirty minute visit is adequate, nice selection of artefacts including a Dark from Dr Who!
Well worth dropping in for a visit.

Visited little museum, interesting area on our Royal family. Stopped in the quaint cafe below with a beautiful walled garden, well done to the volunteers who maintain it. The cafe staff were friendly and efficient. Tasty homemade cake with tea/coffee. Well worth a visit if you come to liskeard.

Fantastic walk with amazing panoramic views across Bodmin. Amazing the contrast of old mining buildings and man made heaps against the natural backdrop of the moor. Friendly shop in the village to purchase drinks and snacks for the walk and a pub at the end (didn't visit but was popular) Final third gets a little tough for kids, recommend 8+ Parking free, a great cost effective day out with interesting things to see and amazing scenery.

Lovely little church. Peaceful churchyard and a fabulous walnut tree. We also discovered a wonderful walk down to the stream just outside the village. The unassuming footpath starts near Treweese and goes across a stable yard and a couple of fields and then dips down to Trehunsey Cottage, along the stream and up through the woods to Venn Farm. So peaceful. There's a little waterfall and pond with geese and in the woods we saw woodpeckers, and roe deer. Magical. Really enjoyed our visit to the village.

Always a rather lovely building but now 'updated'
St Martins has been closed since January for a bit of a make over ,most old static uncomfortable pews gone ---flexible use comfy chairs replace them .Beautilful light colourd flooring with underfloor heating .
There are some more changes ,--but go take a look see for yourselves ,its enhanced the church and certainly made it a space that can be used by the community .

This was a really fun but in places challenging walk. The first quarter or so after leaving Golitha Falls was very muddy and overgrown and although we were prepared with hiking boots etc. we did struggle to make our way. Once we got past direction point 12 it was very pleasant, though. The views were stunning throughout and the directions impeccable.
