Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This walk is not for the faint hearted or for anyone with mobility issues. To reach the top and be rewarded with stunning views of the local area, you undergo a serious workout but happily without an entrance charge. The flora in May was set into a backdrop of gorgeous purple heather and yellow broom. A less demanding return walk is possible if you continue through at little iron gate behind the castle - the slope is kinder on the knees. Back in the village you can choose from several restaurants to enjoy a well earned drink and snack.

Filipe & Helder guided us during this amazing canyoning trip. Beautiful surroundings: off the beaten track. New equipment. We would recommend anyone to do canyoning with these two guys.

Our horses Georgie and Didi were reliable, forward going and happy to canter when terrain allowed. Most of the rides are in walk but this is an opportunity to breath in the beautiful surroundings and appreciate the flora and fauna. We saw many wild horse whilst out and enjoyed a days ride in wolf valley (sadly no wolf sitings but bone remains of their meals). Our riding hosts Pedro and his daughter Marianna, are passionate horse people who were able to not only guide us, but also impart the joy they have for their country.
The guest house was clean and comfy with a communal eating and seating area on the first floor with bedrooms above. Annabelle is a creative cook with mainly veggie and fish dishes (vegan catered for really well too). Breakfast is ready at whatever time you appear in the morning as rides generally started at about 10. We had some unseasonably poor weather (including rain, hail and snow) so our program was adapted to make sure we could make the most of each day. It's advisable to take a few extra layers as it cools down quite dramatically on the plateau. We were also able to eat in local restaurants and visit local attractions when not riding.

Thank you team Ecotura for a great week.
