Stunning and fascinating. The guides were full of knowledge and everything was well preserved with informative signs and displays dotted around. Very very interesting and well worth the couple of hours.

Walked this in there and back sections with our two collies on Mondays in January and February so very few cyclists and thankfully pretty much mud free!
Section 1 parked at YHA Okehampton (free) and new cafe just opened. Walked to Meldon viaduct and back. First part pretty much hugs A30 so road noise but also some stunning scenery. Section 2 parked at car park Meldon reservoir then back down the lane to join the way. Walked to the viaduct then back and on to Bundu caravan park and Pump and Pedal for a lovely coffee. Peaceful and interesting section but mainly in cuttings so less views. Section 3 parked on road near Bundu and walked to Weeks Water post and back over Lake viaduct and via 200m section of unmade track which is a permissive path. Stunning scenery over Sourton tors. One small lane to cross. Section 4 parked in muddy lay-by at Lydford end and walked to Weeks water post and back some 10000 steps. Was quite misty but lovely views when lifted slightly. Road to cross near Bridestowe which would probably have been a better place to park.
Would be an amazing route to cycle and not too strenuous. Lovely walk too but as we have dogs better when out of season and on weekdays.

The highlight of a short trip to Okehampton. The volunteers were simply fantastic, full of great insight, local history and completely engaging. The museum itself is fantastic. Three levels rammed full of great history. We visited during the Dye exhibition and it was truly fascinating. Next year we'll come back for the Myths and Legends exhibition. Thank you.

Went here for some lunch with the family. I had jacket potato with tuna and cheesy chips. All very nice food. Lovely play park for the kids and nice walks around the lake.

Simmonds Park is simply beautiful. A lovely spot to wander slowly with friends, solo, take a jog or walk the dog. Follow the stream and switch off for a few minutes during the day. It's also a great cut through to the Train station and the Granite way.

I cannot recommend this pub more. From start to finish it is exceptional.

The staff are beyond accommodating and helpful, the Sunday roasts were fantastic, the children’s fish and chips were great quality, proper fish and delicious chips, good amount of peas too! Desert was wonderful.

We were a fairly large group with lots of small children, we were seated in a space for just us which made it really relaxed and comfortable. The children were engaged with by staff and all enjoyed the pubs exciting historical artefacts, like the suit of armour and Neolithic stone.

We were blessed with sunshine so went into the garden which was a sun trap and again the kids had loads of fun playing whilst we enjoyed our drinks in the fresh air.
This pub is a real gem, an example of a wonderful Devon pub that is evidently invested in with love and dedication.

Looking forward to our next visit already!!

Thank you again! A meal to remember!

Gorgeous area to explore and very much like a maze. Lots of paths to wonder down and lots of lovely areas by the stream to have a picnic. We were staying in the nearby meldon lodge park and this was only 15 minutes walk from our lodge with so many different directions to wander in it would take weeks to explore them all .

Made a slight diversion after walking High Willhays and Yes Tor and found this place!! So glad I did, it was honestly like something out of Harry Potter, my dog had a dip by the waterfall. A piece of paradise is a barren landscape!!

Came here for a romantic weekend getaway and wasn’t disappointed. Learned a lot about barometers and rekindled my failing marriage at the same time. Marvellous place. Would recommend for any couples looking for a cute trip away.

We had a great time here. The escape room was set up fantastic with a great host who played character very well. We didn't get to complete it (although we was close after quiet a few hints!!) but the host showed us the last few steps so we didn't miss anything. Highly recommended. We will return when in the area again. Thanks

We stopped by to have a look and found a very engaging historic display inside. This was very detailed. A nice church with a long history of workship and still going today! YMMV

Great cycle hire/quality coffee stop. Lovely people: great service. Lots of useful advice. And the ride was gorgeous. Will definitely be coming back next time we’re here.

Loved coming here for a drink & fabulous views. Sadly not enough trade to be viable, I suppose. Still a highly recommended site for touring caravans etc though. Lovely owners.
