Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- MATT7159Tadley, UK236 contributionsWe hired some ebikes from granite way cycles which backs on to the granite way.
Its a great path to follow one off the best I've been on, we cycled up and down it and a bit further.
We had to stop for a cream tea along the way too.
Great for families and novice cyclists.Written 26 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A good little sop if you’re having any bike issues.Written 7 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - cornwallfunHampshire, UK5 contributionsWe had the absolute pleasure of riding at eastlake!! Me and three other friends were on a girls holiday in Cornwall, all being very horsey and experienced we wanted to ride on the moors. Eastlake 100% lived up to our expectations. When turning up we seemed to be the more experienced riders out of the other people that had turned up, the staff noticed this and split us up, allowing us as a group to go for some gallops. The horses completely took us by surprise being lively and forward going, clearly enjoying their job!! Holly took us out for the ride, and all we can say is well done to her for putting up with us being very chatty and loud! Holly definitely made our experience even better than it could of been! Out of the whole holiday, riding at eastlake was by far the highlight (even though we rode on two other occasions being on the beach). If we ever visit Cornwall again we will, without a doubt, be returning to eastlake!!Written 21 August 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - StevePostbridge, UK42 contributionsFantastic experience once again hiring a campervan from O’Connor’s….. Penny and Paul explained everything we needed to know before we set off on our Winter expedition of the south West…. Setting off on Boxing Day and returning on the 2nd of January. This time we hired one of the AutoTrail motorhomes and it didn’t disappoint!
We stayed in some very interesting and welcoming places using the Brit stop app.
If you’re thinking of hiring a campervan, we couldn’t recommend O’Connor‘s enoughWritten 2 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our tour guide Tich Scott was entertaining and brilliant, a mine of information, with fascinating local family history, knew everyone we encountered on and off the road and such fun to spend the day with. Highly recommend!Written 24 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ian B3 contributionsExcellent day out on the 2 e-bikes. Extremely helpful gentleman who briefed us thoroughly on the granite way and quickly resolved a minor issue with the gents bike. Great trip to Lydford where we had a light lunch at the National Trust café. Weather not great but to whizz along on these great bikes was lots of fun. Thank you, a great day out. Very highly recommended but book ahead if you want the e-bikes as they only have 2 but I understand they are in the process of getting more.Written 22 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lauren R3 contributionsWhat an amazing adventure! We met up with Keith and Jackie not really knowing what to expect and I can tell you we were far from disappointed! Keith was so helpful during booking to ensure we had the right route for our group (kids 9,11,12 and 15). The gorge walking was a lot of fun, water clean and the scenery beautiful. Keith shared so much knowledge about the route and gave the best advice to ensure we were all having fun.
Be prepared to get wet and you will fall in but it’s honestly worth it!
The whole experience felt very safe and controlled so I didn’t feel worried as the kids jumped off rocks! Would 10/10 recommend!Written 7 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We flew in the soft evening light with views across the whole of Devon - there was a time when we could see the North and South coastlines of this stunning county at the same time. At other points we drifted along narrow river valleys with the basket just missing the highest branches in the canopy. Our pilot Allie was absolutely superb - complete mastery of the balloon's dynamics, and a wonderful commentary of the history and geography that was laid out before us.
In summary, yes its expensive, and yes you may have to be patient (or not, see above!) to get your flight but I promise you *it is worth it*.Written 22 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
