Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We hired some ebikes from granite way cycles which backs on to the granite way.
Its a great path to follow one off the best I've been on, we cycled up and down it and a bit further.
We had to stop for a cream tea along the way too.
Great for families and novice cyclists.

There is a car park right next to the castle. Lovely lady at the ticket booth selling coffees & gifts. Reasonable price to see this beautiful castle & support English Heritage. Leaflet with information can be purchased & audio available too. Good informative signs as you walk round. Dog friendly too

Beautifully laid out and organised little museum giving us lovely insight into the old ways of life over the moors. Clean and easy to get around. Loved the videos and stories and the artefacts, from Bronze Age through to more recent times. Love to come back again with the grandchildren

Popped in without booking during Valentines week...Haven't been for 20 years but it hasn't changed much apart from upgraded lighting and a massive pair of red shoes at the entrance to the car park. Just stopped in for a nosey and a pint....lots of people eating veggie food (thankfully, I'd just had a giant steak pasty in Okehampton). Everyone seemed to be enjoying the food and I liked my pint and bag of crisps in a unique setting...Good fun 😸🍺👍

We had the best day discovering some less well known parts of Dartmoor with Proper Dartmoor Tours. Our tour guide Tich Scott was entertaining and brilliant, a mine of information, with fascinating local family history, knew everyone we encountered on and off the road and such fun to spend the day with. Highly recommend!
