Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wellbeing Walks are held every Tuesday in Simmons Park. Meet 10am at the sports centre bandstand for a 20 or 40 minute walk around the park. Gorgeous river and trees and even a bit of bird spotting. We end up at the OCRA cafe. Safe, friendly walking!

We visit here regularly, for walks around the lovely gravel tracks with the dogs, for some paddle boarding, or even for a bite to eat.
They have delicious food and tasty treats and drinks and a cute little gift shop!

Gorgeous area to explore and very much like a maze. Lots of paths to wonder down and lots of lovely areas by the stream to have a picnic. We were staying in the nearby meldon lodge park and this was only 15 minutes walk from our lodge with so many different directions to wander in it would take weeks to explore them all .

This is the second room we’ve done here - again it was absolutely brilliant. They are not your run-of-the-mill “look behind a picture for a key” escape room but a slightly different approach (without giving anything away) which makes a nice change and is a much better and more enjoyable escape because of it. It is an excellent experience which starts right from the moment you are greeted. Would highly recommend.

A massive thank you to Andrew and Co at Devon Cycle Hire. Exceptional customer service. Contacted via email first and got a speedy reply. Was very accommodating even when we had to make changes to our booking on a couple of occasions. Really easy to find the the route was beautiful. Definitely family friendly even for younger children. Will most definitely be returning 😁

Excellent day out on the 2 e-bikes. Extremely helpful gentleman who briefed us thoroughly on the granite way and quickly resolved a minor issue with the gents bike. Great trip to Lydford where we had a light lunch at the National Trust café. Weather not great but to whizz along on these great bikes was lots of fun. Thank you, a great day out. Very highly recommended but book ahead if you want the e-bikes as they only have 2 but I understand they are in the process of getting more.

What an amazing adventure! We met up with Keith and Jackie not really knowing what to expect and I can tell you we were far from disappointed! Keith was so helpful during booking to ensure we had the right route for our group (kids 9,11,12 and 15). The gorge walking was a lot of fun, water clean and the scenery beautiful. Keith shared so much knowledge about the route and gave the best advice to ensure we were all having fun.
Be prepared to get wet and you will fall in but it’s honestly worth it!
The whole experience felt very safe and controlled so I didn’t feel worried as the kids jumped off rocks! Would 10/10 recommend!
