Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The gardens are beautiful, having visited several times at varying times of the year. I was particularly impressed with the wildflower section, it was simply beautiful. If you visit in the autumn, the fruit trees are laden down with apples, pears and plums, and yet I have had a sneaky piece of fruit whilst walking round! That being said, I do find the price on the hefty side as I have visited much larger gardens at lower prices, and think there should be some form of discounted price for walking round the garden if you use the cafe, as that is not particularly cheap either.

Found this place after hoping to visit the Baxters visitors centre only to find it is now sadly closed. We didn't realise it was open as the Google times have it only open Fri Sat Sunday but we went during the week and we were so happy to find it open!
Fantastic museum. Lots of stuff to see, a great place to spend an hour looking about talking about everything that has been donated to the museum.

Our kids favourite (15 & 10) was the clothing and school area. As parents we loved the shops set ups and through the decades section. The carriages were also amazing!
What makes this even better is that it run by friendly & welcoming staff who's passion for something historically important and valuable is infectious.
No fee but donations welcome which we were more than happy to contribute too for such a wonderful place to visit!

This is a beautiful little church that is well worth seeking out. The stained glass windows have been lauded by previous reviewers, and rightly so as they are magnificent. But do take your eyes away from them for a moment or two to admire the beautiful dark wooden ceiling beams and the lovely triple wall lamps that, to my mind, have a wonderful Art Deco look to them. They are lovely.

We were also fortunate to meet one of the congregation who is currently living in the flat beneath the church. She was charming and it was a pleasure to chat to her about the church.

An absolutely wonderful place. My daughter loved her time playing & feeding the animals.
We had such a lovely day for it.
We would definitely come back when next in the area.

I have stayed for 6 weeks so far and it has been excellent. The room was spacious and modern, the breakfast superb and the staff are very friendly and welcoming as is the bar. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend.

I booked a taxi at the last minute to go to the train station..... I live in the country and sometimes hard to find. My driver turned up early, was extremely courteous and opened the door for me.... but I asked if I could sit in the front as i am not a good traveler in the back of a car ..... then my phone went flat and he charged it for me. Got to the train station in plenty of time. Again. Got out and opened the door.... what a gentleman. I was heading down to the Michael Buble concert and my lift let me down at the last minute. But ACE taxis saved the day..... and they are ACE. I would use them again. Unfortunately I cannot remember my drivers name... think he lives in garmouth..... thank you so much.

Lovely playpark for small children: reasonable prices and you can be there all day. You can also leave to have lunch and come back in. Safe, enclosed environment and the staff were all lovely. We had lunch in the cafe and it was okay. My panini was good but my daughter’s macaroni was cold, we asked to heat it up and they very kindly replaced it with a fresh bowl but it was also cold, maybe something wrong with the hot plate. Anyway, overall we had a great day and lovely garden centre to walk round too!

Quirky and highly original gift shop - great quality items. Don't be deceived by small size of store - it's a treasure trove which needs time to browse. Always find what I need and never leave empty handed. Christmas stock always a special treat but my favourite place to buy gifts year round.
