Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really beautiful and well kept beach with ample parking and visitors toilets.
Our dog loved playing on the beach, would definitely visit again if we are in the area.

I'm really glad I took the time to take time inside. I was just about to the "oh yay, another church" stage, but there were helpful signs and readings to explain just how interesting the history and architecture of this particular church are.
Although it's in the center of a busy town, I easily round on-street parking close by.

What a brilliant museum. There is so much amazing history associated with Dornoch and this little museum packs it all in. We visited with an 8 and a 13 year old and both were really interested for the 1hr 45mins we were in. A great little quiz for the kids and other activities including dressing up, a Gaelic spelling quiz, and other stuff. We are members of the NTS and visited Culloden yesterday. History Links at Dornoch has so much more to offer than Culloden and is well worth the £9 we paid to get in. Thank you so much to everyone involved in organising this museum and keeping it going.

An amazing part of the world and the service is world class.

A little stone, easy to miss, but important to remember for its history and meaning. You must visit the Historylinks museum to find out more about the date on it. 1722 is not correct 😋

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful salesman! He knows his stuff, and he is willing to spend whatever time you need to assist you with a good purchase. When we visit Dornoch, we always enjoy visiting this shop and yes, purchasing something to take home.

This market cross Is basic. It's a a great location and what I love about this is that coins are on it. What also makes me more impressed is that nobody dares to take the Coins!

As the seals are quite far off in the distance, you should bring a spotting scope to observe them. There are also birds and if you are lucky dolphins. The guide told me Orcas may be seen but I am not sure exactly where.

Located next to the cathedral. I am not sure what this thing does except gives a memorial to Anderson. I wish it had more info about it.

We were delighted to see the sign as we drove into Dornoch that read that the Pipe Band would play at 8pm Saturday night. As we were staying in the main square we could see people gathering from about 7.30pm and sure enough exactly at 8pm the Pipers came marching into the square. Lovely to see the old hands playing the bagpipes and the younger people doing a really great job on drums. There were some young ladies doing Highland dancing at interval. A fellow came round for tips, luckily he had a card machine and we were grateful to contribute as the band was top notch.
