Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- When we were stranded on Mull for two extra days we went into the info centre for recommendations for some things to do. All the staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and had a bit of patter.Written 14 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - The castle itself is very quaint. It's pretty and just as you'd expect but the walk to get to it and the beach it's on is just gorgeous! We'd tried to find a black beach previously on our trip but couldn't find it so finding here was a huge bonus. It's beautiful.
We also saw deer and tons of sheep and lambs on our walk, plus something big with some sort of fin swimming in the sea. No idea what it was, but this was a great wee trip.Written 1 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Peter met us off the ferry and we parked up, joining another couple who were great fun and luckily also knowledgeable! My wife and I were no experts, but very enthusiastic. The weather was spectacular, Peter friendly and keen to pass on his extensive knowledge and also makes a mean corned beef and chutney sandwich. We saw White Tailed Eagles, otters in the water, dipper (good spot Matt), seals, lots of other birds and even glancing views of a golden eagle. Peter also had excellent binoculars to borrow and his car was very comfortable. Highly recommended.Written 1 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
