A day out that would rival a national trust. Even through castle was closed getting prepped for the weekend Christmas Fayre their annual event we didn't feel short changed.
The grounds and wall gardens had lots to offer. Nice walks with lots of places to sit and relax. MAZE was fun. A few play areas for children with interactive themes activities for budding adventurers. The restaurant is first class with home cooked Mediterranean food and they cater for life style choices and dietary needs.
Zoo of rescue owls and other species was really interesting. Never seen a tawny frogmouth owl before. Would recommend for families and couples

I took my 10 year old and 5 year old today. My son loved the large go-karts which were perfect for his size. They both loved the bouncy castle and played for ages in there.
The frisbee golf was so funny.
Please note that there is a double gate at the entrance off the main road. The gate on the left side is closed. You have to drive over the cattle grid on the right hand side. We thought they were closed at first but they weren’t.
Would recommend for families. 2-3 hours of fun and not a bad price.

It’s been a while since we last visited Scolton, pre Covid, and I suspect that’s why we were a bit disappointed with our visit. Certain areas have been left to their own devices much to the detriment of the park, for example the bee keeping area, not a bee in sight. The walk around the park is still doable with many sculptures for the children to track down and explore and the play area is a large space for them to let off steam. We are grandparents and would happily take our little ones there for an afternoon. The walled garden is a great space to sit and relax with many fruit trees, colourful flowers and lovely herbaceous plants but here again some attention is needed, I suspect that’s because of lack of staff/ volunteers. But!!!! The tea room is absolutely lovely, the staff are helpful and the food is most acceptable. I had the ham salad, my husband had the crispy chicken wrap and both were delicious and very reasonably priced so if you do decide to visit don’t hesitate to call in. That said there are picnic tables around the grounds too if you prefer to take your own which we’ve done in the past too.

The car park is charged at £4 for 2 hours but only 50p more for 4 hours so why would you pay £4 when you can have extra time to wander and not risk going over your time limit for 50p???

We had a great afternoon at Scolton and would thoroughly recommend a visit.

We entered this little gem of a spot down a steep hill. Crab sandwiches eaten on the beach then a walk along to Broad Haven. Great day out.

We stayed at the fantastic house owned by the pottery and booked a group pottery session, which was the best thing we have done for ages. Paul is obviously a very experienced potter and managed to guide us through creating something we can actually use - with a great sense of humour. There is also a great pottery shop attached. If you are in the area, I would urge you to book a session then follow up with a visit to the Wolfe Inn!

Found this by accident at the back of a charity shop.
Quite informative, never seen a Spitfire Merlin engine before or looked up close into a Spitfire cockpit.
    Very good 👍

A great place! The owl garden has 2 flying displays and an otter talk daily. You can also pay a little extra for an experience with some of the reptiles or mammals. My son absolutely loved meeting the snakes - thank you for taking the time to do this for us. The keepers are really friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the array of animals they look after, a lot of which are rescued.

We climbed the highest summit, Foel Cwmcerwyn, starting and ending at the Tafarn Sinc (Zinc Tavern, though it's actually built of corrugated iron) in Rosebush. Most of the walk to the summit is a steady, even gentle climb, but the last pull to the summit is quite stiff. We were lucky with clear skies so we could actually see all three countries (Wales, of course, England and Ireland) from the top, but a fierce northerly made sure we didn't linger. The remainder of the walk was a long slow decline through Pantmaenog forest and the two disused slate quarries, with the pub as our reward at the end. It took us two and a half hours.

Took my grandchildren twice in the week when the weather wasn’t brilliant for the beaches or other outdoor attractions locally. We have been for a few years running when on holiday in Pembrokeshire. This year we had the usual wait for the pools, around 40 minutes. I know this would be too long for some but at my home pool it gets packed with little attempt at crowd control, so I welcome this at Haverfordwest LC. The changing rooms seem warm, although one area of lockers was in darkness. The rubber wrist bands also felt sticky and perished rubber. Generally I thought the pools were clean, although when I swam under it was quite murky, not clear at all, and quite heavily chlorinated. My mum was upstairs and said her eyes were stinging. The only thing I find confusing is getting bands for the children’s pool or all the pools, the pricing system is a bit odd. All in all though, if you have time to wait for entry, then it’s good for the kiddies and a rainy day activity.
