Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Curious135315128171 contributionWe were at the Cross for a wedding and it was gorgeous! Great place for a wedding of about 75 at 5pm in October - the couple was married with the cross in the background and then photos were taking with the gorgeous view of the mountains/valley.
There were a couple of people riding bikes but otherwise there was plenty of parking for all wedding guests.Written 16 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We asked one of the grounds keeper to help us locate The All Saints Chapel. He was a great help & advice is to stop at the Chapel of the Apostles, which we did (we were near this area). Both chapels were beautiful in their own way. I hope the students that attend here appreciate the beauty. The place also had that “Dead Poet Society” feel to it too.Written 23 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MomOfThreeTXDriftwood, TX16 contributionsWe drove past this path between Monteagle and Sewanee. Looks like a great place for a bike ride. Went for a 3ish mike run on it later in the afternoon. Feels new. Well kept up, no potholes or branches leaning over the path.Written 18 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DrMarc9491Franklin, KY3,946 contributionsWe came across this natural bridge by chance and what a find it was. Wonderful to see and to walk around. Great photo opportunities. Fun place in nature for young family members. Well worth stopping at and visiting. Close to the Sewanee University of the South. - WickedCakesColumbus, OH1,581 contributionsI’m not a religious person by any means. That said, this was a very beautiful site to visit. My 70+ mother is into religion, so I made an effort to find places she’d be interested in seeing while traveling through TN. I asked for recommendations on FB and I have to say, I’ve not been disappointed by the recommendations. Google maps directed us to what seemed the back of the university, but luckily some grounds keepers directed us to the right direction. First chapel of the apostles. That was a cool architectural dream. I do like architecture. Then we went to the main attraction, All Saints chapel. My background upbringing is catholic, but the only saint I know is saint francis (the saint for animals). I was surprised he was represented in stain glass. But I think he was the only carving at the church? While we walked around (I looking at every thin stain glass “saint” (not all were actual saints)), a student at the university was playing the organ. It was all very fitting. It was a short visit, but it still was very beautiful. If you like religion, or maybe like me, that like archectiture… this might be a nice side trip.Written 13 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kathy KGreenville, NC177 contributionsT This 9 hole course is highly rated as a public access course both for the state of Tennesse and accessible college courses. Pace of play a bit slow but good 9 hole management by the staff. Only complaint is that on the second par 3 from the gold tees the carry over the damn was 145 yards.... into the wind. Not very lady friendly.... to someone with a decent handicap but short drives. When I asked in the golf shop after the round I was told there was another foward tee.. I should have seen a sign. There was no sign and the starter didnt alert us to that fact when we started. disappointing.
Even so we were glad we went out of our way to try this course. Had a nice glass of wine and dark beer on the porch of the "golf lodge" after the round.Written 8 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There was local art and crafts as well as just cute gift ideas.Written 4 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
