Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great place to ski, even late season. The ski area (when open) is amazing. Accommodations are typically French, i.e. poor.

These guys needs to seriously update their lift system, otherwise Austria wins every time.

We visited the Aquariaz on a really miserable day that was not good for skiing. We, and every other family in Avoriaz. The facilities were clean and enjoyable. Activities for mixed age ranges and easily passed an hour or two. Price was average for swimming. The showers weren’t great and they should probably limit entry numbers during these peak periods however it was a good family activity.

Only been there once (skiing pit stop) for a coffee and a chocolat chaud. We bought some Reblochon whilst we were there and had a nice chat with the team. Insisted we partake of some homemade Pear Williams. The only way o travel. Look forward to walking the dogs there in the summer. A tea and coffee/cake place really. But home produced foods and cheeses to take away.

I had a fantastic lesson with Charles. As an intermediate 50-year-old skier who has skied once or twice a year for the last 20 years, I thought lessons would have little effect. However, I was wrong. An hour and a half of lessons with Charles had me skiing faster and more confidently, and was a lot of fun. I never thought I would be skiing with my eyes shut or with my thumbs in my pockets but it certainly worked.

We have just finished having 3.5 days of am/pm lessons with Guido. Myself and 2 teenage sons were complete beginners and we can now all snowboard . Guido was excellent and managed to teach our differing abilities. He made it fun everyday and also challenged us appropriately. Thank you so much Guido and the Avoriaz Ski School. Communication throughout booking was also great. I would recommend highly .

We hadn't booked but, at the reception desk, Camille and Viviane let us enter the spa even if it was full. Thank you so much. (Actually it is good that there can't be too many people). Anyway, watching the sunset from the outside spa is a fantastic moment. All the facilities are good, event if it's not very big. We loved the place.

An impressively large igloo with snow/ice sculptures inside, benches, good choice of drinks and small plates (even oysters!), with great ambiance. Friendly staff. A nice place to relax, listen to the music, and admire the snow/ice art. Not that easy to get to if you are not a skier - about a 10 minute hike up the side of a blue (fortunately only a blue) slope. Definitely seasonal - in early March one could already feel the telltale drip drip drip from the ceiling. Although we were there during the day, apparently it takes on a whole different ambiance at night - worth checking out for the adults.
