Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wonderful Traditional Spanish village. Small quaint streets with shops, restaurants and boutique style hotels. Stunning church in the square where the views are stunning of Benalmadena.

Quite a nice spot very close to the centre of Benalmadena. It is a nice green space with a small lake with ducks and other birds.

The gondola ride takes 15 minutes, travels 3 km, and rises to 769 m above sea level, offering spectacular views of the entire coast. You can watch planes take off and land from the Malaga airport to the east. Once at the terminus of the gondola, you can walk to the summit of Mount Calamorro on the paths provided you have sturdy shoes or running shoes. Starting in April they have a birds of prey demonstration at the summit (check for availability). They were very accommodating for one of our party with a walker, stopping the gondola at both ends to get on and off - for everyone else its a bit of jump-in-and-jump-out while it is slowly moving. There is a small snack bar at the terminus at the top. Tickets are discounted if purchased online. Well worth the price!

We walked from the center of Benalmadena to this castle, which was already an experience. I went with my parents and I am the one who loves sightseeing and cultural things, but when we arrived, they were surprised by the beauty of this monument. It's very beautiful and takes your breath away.

The entrance was only 3 euros per person, which isn't much at all, and with the entrance, you get information about the monument (it's so interesting, read the stuff!). I loved everything I saw. The castle itself, the views (you can even see the snow in Granada), the beautiful flowers in the garden, and the stairs that go down. It's lovely.

With the money they get from the entry, they keep the monument beautiful. A very nice concept! My only tip to the family that owns the monument is to give the grass some water now and then. It's not critical, but it was quite dry, which is logical with the weather Spain has mostly, but I think it will make the monument even more beautiful ☺️

All in all, I truly recommend seeing this beautiful castle! 🥰

We took our two kids (5&3) to the butterfly park. We got a check sheet for butterflies to mark off which ones we saw which kept the 5 year old busy. It’s very warm and humid inside (as it needs to be) but absolutely full of beautiful butterflies. We meandered around at our leisure and looked at the butterflies and flowers. There were windows with chrysalis’s lined up so a good chance to see the variety. There were short talks on the lifecycles etc in Spanish and English by staff.

There were a few other inhabitants to keep an eye out for and it was very well done and maintained.

There’s a small gift shop and a nice little cafe with a good selection of items for a lunch and snacks/ice creams and slushies which were needed after coming out of the heat. It was definitely a nice place to visit and the children really enjoyed it.

The show is in the area at the top of the cable car route. It costs an additional 6 Euros per person but it is definitely worth going to. One of the highlights of our holiday.

Interesting and thought provoking, volunteer guide in temple very helpful, lift available, only drawback was the toilets, down a plaza with stairs, accidents happen!! Shop was well stocked, good views from site worth a visit as contrasts with Church of Scotland buildings!!

Much better than we expected. I have mixed feelings about these places but we enjoyed it. The pools are quite big - obviously they can never be big enough - and the animals seems well looked after.

We walked to this beach from our hotel based in the middle of Fuengirola it was about 3 miles along a paved promenade and a very pleasant walk

The beach is very clean and is well served by bars and restaurants. There are a number of sunbed stations along the length of the beach.

It can also be reached by using the local bus service, numbers 1 and 120

    Worth a visit

This is a nice building in the style of a Moorish home built on Benalmadena seafront.
An art exhibition taking place when i visited. Free admission and some interesting paintings.
