Gruene Dance Hall is like the Grand Ole Opera of Texas. Anybody that is anybody has played there. No matter who is playing, they are good.
The Groobees we’re playing when we were there and they are fantastic!

ALWAYS A BLAST! After a long work week, this chill time is what it's all about. It's a great spot to enjoy time with friends and family or party. Whatever you're up to, you can find it at the Comal!

Visited the park yesterday (Saturday) for the first time in 10 years probably and had a great time! I was worried after reading so many disappointing reviews, but reading them also helped me plan accordingly to have a better experience! We purchased tickets for 10:30 and arrived at the park around 10:15. Once the park opened we quickly stored our stuff in lockers and went to the Master Blaster, which usually has long lines, but we were 10th in line once they opened the rides. I would highly recommend getting there early to ride your favorites and beat most of the lines! Or if you see a long line, try to come back to it when it dies down (like during lunch hours or before closing). The longest wait was an hour for Hillside tube chute but everything else was under 20 minutes without a blast pass. Some of the rides were closed or shortened due to less staff, but this didn’t bother me (understandably, we are still in a pandemic with major worker shortages). Some of the grills were out of several menu items, but that is to be expected near the end of the season. Didn’t have any issues with any rude staff members, everyone was very friendly and helpful! Overall, we had a great time and will be back.

If you like antiques you need to stop at the antique mall. There are so many, even a basement full of them!

Great area to spend some time. There are beach areas you can go to for swimming, and you can use kayaks, jetskis or boat on the lake. There are rental places to get these things from if needed. Many houses for rent, airbnb, vrbo, etc that are close or right on the lake. I really like this area.

I took my nephew for a Christmas Adventure. He is 6 and this was perfect for him. Very clean and informative. I scheduled a private encounter (20 mins/$50) that I thought was great and he will never forget. The only not reason I did not give this expert 5 star review is because of their lack of enforcement on mask wearing in the zoo. I called before hand and asked if they weee following mandates. All employees were great, but when I asked team members why 3 large (in all ways) families were allowed to clearly walk around without masks, they said they are instructed not to confront or enforce policies on their guests. This is just not an acceptable answer. As business owners, WE have the RIGHT to REFUSE SERVICE to ANYONE. Please consider taking care of your employees & guests safety as much as you care for the animals.

The bridge itself is a gem, not so hidden. I'm almost hesitant to write this up because it's a special place UNDER the bridge. You can take kayaks, floats, your coolers, beach chairs, fishing gear. Just go under the bridge and to the left is a gigantic open area to set up camp for the day. We were there to fly fish and enjoy the nice cool, running and clear as can be water. Next time we'll bring a cooler/beverages/umbrella and hang for several hours. Get here before noon on a week day before the small parking lot fills.

Situated in the McKenna Events Center near downtown (and current detours in those nearby streets!), the museum is really kid-friendly. Makes a nice day with nearby Schlitterbahn added in.

This is a great museum about the German settlement of This area. An amazing collection of real artifacts which were very well curated. Highly recommend this; takes 2 hours or less. Learned a lot! Only suggestion- would have lived a pamphlet about the creation of the collection and museum.

This is a collection of model trains spread out through the old station house and several train cars. If you or someone you know loves trains, pop in and spend an hour or so here. There's a lot to see for train lovers, and the staff was so great to me, my son and my dad.

Enjoyed the park. Rode the train, walked, grand kids and wife did the paddle boats. Grandkids swam in the Comal . to cold water for me.

My sister, brother in law. And myself went this past weekend. Had a blast. Except for the end. The stairs were slippery with algae. I jumped off my tube which was a big mistake. It was deep ( it’s 13 ft). and the current was strong ( very) . I struggled to get to the stairs. I can swim but the current was pulling me under swallowing water several times. Thank God a man grabbed my hand and pulled me up. They really need a worker there to assist the swimmers. The river ride was good… BEWARE OF THE EXIT!!!! I suggest to get off before you approach it.

There are some great sweet wines if you enjoy that but others are great for the price too! They were extremely friendly and very reasonable. $6 for 4 pours and a complimentary glass.
