It's rare you can visit the shore with young children and feel relaxed but it us such a calm environment and the water is very calm and warm.
The beach has gentle enough waves for little kids to play in and is shallow enough to boogie board without going too far from the shore.

You are on your own so pack well if you decide to expand your beach horizons while at Port A. My wife and I (and kids) always save one morning or afternoon for a Jetty Boat ride and body surfing at San Jose.
Indulge in fresh coastal cuisine at fine local eateries and eclectic kid-friendly restaurants.
