AMAZING! One of the best ever! We all(including the kids) had a blast! So interactive… you can not only explore the aircraft carrier there are numerous planes on the deck that you can get in. Truly a great experience for everyone! They say you need to a lot 4 hours… very true!

I got to experience La Jolla for the first time through my childrens' eyes and it made it all the more amazing. Unique geography and active marine life in a drop dead gorgeous setting. Head to the local Spot Cafe for a bite to eat that doesn't break the bank and has a large menu something for everyone.

By far my favorite zoo I've visited. The bus tour is a must and good to do at the beginning of your visit to see where everything is located. There is a wide variety of animals, the zoo is very big on conservation and only takes animals that can not survive in the wild, and the food/shade options are plenty as you walk around. The signage and maps... are terrible. Don't use the app!

This is a part of the National Park system. A lot of history present regarding the Point Loma light house, National Cemetery, etc. Nice view of the naval base. Lots of opportunity to watch planes, helicopters and ships move around the area.

Last afternoon of the holiday and we walked round visiting a couple of the attractions - don’t miss this as there should be something for everyone.

A pleasant, wide beach with gentle waves allowed the young children (2-7) to play, dig, and splash with abandon. Lots of activity, but room to set up and hang out.

The glideport between La Jolla and Del Mar is maybe my favorite place on earth. You have RC Gliders flying their planes on one end and Paragliders and Ultra-Light aircraft on the other end of this high field overlooking the ocean at Black Beach the only clothing optional beach in the San Diego area. Wow what a fun place. Do Not miss this !!

Wanted to see the seals and sea lions do we drove over to the park early morning and found parking on the street. Not a lot of animals on the beach but it was nice seeing a few pups. We were told they come to the beaches in larger numbers from February through May so we were a little late.

Don't go near the wildlife! Don't be that guy!
That said... it's a great place to go watch the wildlife swimming, playing and diving into/around the water. I recommend taking the bus, it's an easy ride and you won't deal with parking.

The best way I can describe the aquarium is that it appeals to families in a multitude of ways. It is highly visual, and that keeps the younger children occupied. While it is fun and educational, I felt it geared itself to cast a wide net for the entire family.

I was pleased with our visit, as it made me yearn for a deeper dive into marine biology, no pun intended.

January 2022 I made a dive to the La Jolla Caves through SCUBA San Diego. It was great. As an older, east coast boat diver, who had never done a shore entry in surf conditions, I had a wonderful time in a completely new environment (and temperature).

Shore entry in surf was new to me, and I had a free-flow from my second reg. The life guards immediately notified me of the situation -- nice to have over-watch. The dive was shallow, about 25-30 feet max, but it's a great experience having seals zipping around you as you enjoy the other underwater life. The "caves" are really a swim-through. We had lots of surge, but I wouldn't have missed it.

SCUBA San Diego provides good service, a great guide, and were very flexible.
Cole (my guide) is an accomplished diver and a great guide. I enjoyed the kelp, sea lions, fish, and everything else along with the caves. I had scheduled a follow-on night dive with Cole at La Jolla Canyon, but a last minute conflict I forced me to call the dive. Ron (the owner of SCUBA San Diego) had no problems sending me a certificate for full credit for the next time (soon, I hope) I come out. Being in business since 1968, I felt very comfortable accepting the certificate. All-in-all, a great experience. The Caves make for a great dive and I highly recommend SCUBA San Diego! And HIGHLY recommend Cole.

While in San Diego I was able to catch a ballgame between the San Diego Padres and the Arizona Diamondbacks. It was a Wednesday afternoon game, so it wasn't that crowded. It is a very modern ballpark and very clean ballpark. I was in section 220 and had great views of the field. There is a wide variety of food but being an old school baseball fan, had the classic hot dog and drink. I was very impressed with Petco Park, in future if my team the Chicago White Sox play there on a weekend, I will definitely go back to see the game. If you are a baseball fan, this is a must while in San Diego.

If you are in La jolla you just have to visit Wind-And-Sea Beach which is located right a the water's edge of WestBorne avenue in downtown La Jolla where the surfers ride the most dangerous surf, around huge boulders, some partially submerged and some half visible in the crashing surf. Its a trip not to be missed.

I visited here during a one week stay in San Diego. The location isn’t exactly right next to the tram station, however, is within walking distance for those who are relatively fit and can stand the heat. There are a large variety of retailers here including major brands such as Nike, Adidas, Footlocker, Asics, Nautica and others. It’s a great location for having so many outlet stores in one spot and the prices are generally great! There were some food and drink options available though some of these had shut for the day (I did visit on the 2nd January though) or didn’t open at all. Overall a good experience and next time I’m in San Diego I’d happily visit again to snap up some bargains!

This is a gorgeous place to hike and walk. In the morning fog rolls in and stays for a few hours, so go after 10a-12pm to get the best views.
