My daughter said it best when she told me, "That place has so much sadness."
It's true and the many lovely and respectable exhibits capture the chaos of that day as well as respect those who died.
Being someone who watched the towers fall, it hurt my heart to be there, but it opened some incredible discussions with our kids.
Sometimes difficult history has to be seen.

One of the best museums in the entire galaxy. It's famous, you probably already know about it, it lives up to the hype.

Central Park is a great escape when in NYC.
You can almost forget your in one of the largest cities in the world. Lots of places to sit and people watch. Varies spots in the park that offer something for everyone. It’s a must visit.

The views from the top of the Empire State Building were everything we expected...magical! The fun activities on the way up to the lift were an unexpected bonus.
The only negative thing for us was the waiting outside in the street to actually go into the building. We arrived just before our timed slot, but it seemed pretty disorganised when we got there, we couldn't really understand why we couldn't line up inside where there was plenty of space. Once inside the building, we felt rushed to get to the lift up to the top, but once we were up there we could pretty much spend as much time as we wanted.

We went late at night, and there was still a decent amount of people there. I wouldn't commit too much time to the wait. Seems like the would tour could be painful if busy.

Liberty island is a must see if in New York City. Seeking her from a distance doesn’t do the lady justice. There are other things to see on the island that help in understanding the construction and history. The view of the city and surrounding area is also impressive.

It was nice to walk just an iconic structure and also read about the history of it and how it came to be. Offers some nice views as well. Good to do once.

In this review I wont bother you with skyscrapers top viewpoints as everybody knows they're great, but they're costing some 30-40 bucks per person.
I give you my list of totally FREE viewpoints from where you can enjoy the NYC skyline I managed to visit during my 3 visits over the years to this fabulous city.
Ranking is based on geographical position, NOT on the beauty of the view, starting from east, over south to western viewpoints.
    1. Pepsi Cola sign - terrific midtown views
    2. Gantry Plaza park - very similar, little bit south
    3. Domino Park - views between midtown and downtown
    4. Dumbo and Brooklyn bridge park - excellent lower Manhattan views
    5. WALK over the Brooklyn bridge from Brooklyn towards Manhattan
    6. Staten island ferry - excellent views of the southern Manhattan (same views as from Liberty statue ferry, but Staten island ferry is free),
    7. Empty sky Memorial - great south Manhattan views from Jersey side
    8. Maxwell Park on the Jersey side

I would walk this every day if I lived here. Great views, peaceful and beautiful gardens and paths. You’re on top of NY and I can imagine you would see something new every time you walk it. You also get a glimpse into NY’ers lives and homes!

Go on a clear day as you can and have your view limited if there are any clouds. We were lucky and got great views to see all around, Quick up and down. Worth doing once.

If you are staying in Manhattan and close to Time Square area this is not far at all. It is on 42nd St. and definitely worth to visit and take some good pics .

Beautiful surroundings for a fabulous museum! This is a treasure trove of medieval art. We spent the better part of a day there. Pack a bag lunch, as we found the little restaurant expensive & not very good—& we aren’t hard to please!

I forgot how lovely this is in summer, as we often visited in winter to see the tree. The space was decorated with Pride flags and all the flowers were lovely. Daughter and I sat by the Prometheus fountain and watched all the roller skaters where the ice skaters are in winter. Free and a good place to rest and people watch for a bit.

Never been to RCMH before. I loved it. The inside of the building was a iconic and beautiful as the outside. Went in April to see Olivia Rodrigo there and what a show!

Occasionally I had to stalk people to get a chair, but even at lunchtime it wasn't that difficult. There are places nearby where you can get a salad, so grab a book from the Reading Room cart and chill.
