Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The SPY HQ museum & experience is an excellent overview of spy craft and major spying incidents in the US. I've been to other spy museums in the past (such as the International Spy Museum in Washington, DC) that go into the history & technology of spy craft in more detail. SpyScape concentrates instead on a more interactive learning experience, with lots of computer kiosks for you to learn more major aspects of the craft. Children may find this more interesting than the usual display cases.

Another interesting aspect of this museum is the personality profile you gradually fill out by using a supplied wristband to log into computer terminals spread throughout the main floor. Even you are not intending to work for a spy agency, these types of intelligence and spatial awareness quizzes you fill out gives you an idea of what to expect with many contemporary job interviews. It was interesting to see what the computer tests leads the museum to conclude what type of intelligence officer you'd make.

Steve Cohen is very engaging and funny. He is a skilled magician and entertainer. The early 1900's atmosphere adds to the experience. Don't miss it!

I can't explain what I saw, but I know it was simply amazing. One of the most unique experiences I have ever had.

If you get a chance to see this show, do not miss it!

This was… amazing. I’ve never felt so alive in my life. My entire outlook on life has changed after this experience. Just everything about it, from the puzzles, to the escape. It was, immaculate. Dylan, the greatest of all time who brought us to our room was the realest of all time. Thank you. So much. This was the best experience ever. Me and my group had the greatest time ever. This was life changing, I don’t know where I’m even going to go from here. But I will figure it out.

Really fun! Super intense, this is the most immersive escape room I’ve ever played and I've done soo many at this point. This has to be my favorite location. John our game master was soooo helpful and we wouldn’t have made it out with his help! Definitely going again!

We loved the the End of Days room so much that we also tried the Carbon: 3708 later on the same day. Carbon was really challenging and we needed extra time and lots of hints to escape (and we are experienced at escape rooms.) End of Days was just the right amount of challenge. Staff was super friendly. Great location. We would like to return to do the third room.

Roller skating in the spring! Yes, they convert the ice skating rink to roller and then play roller disco, which I love, on the sound system. Such fun and the crowd loves it. Plus lots of rainbow flags for June, looks great. One of the best urban design places in the city.

One of the most interesting theatrical experiences ever. in the beginning I DID find it very frustrating to find the characters in the large space and find out where the action was happening, but once I caught on to listen and look carefully, I had a great experience. It would be great if the staff gave a couple of hints or clues as to where to start and what to watch for.

I would recommend getting as early an entry to the show as possible so you have time to get acquainted with the "hotel" and get a feel for the space and what is going on. Afterwards I read a blog where they recommended focusing spending time on the 2nd and 4th floors to catch most of the action.

I hope I get a chance to return and see more of the things I missed...there is no way to see all the story lines in one "viewing".

Great fun activity for a team bonding
We did the Train activity and it was a blast. Not easy but also not extremely difficult, the right balance. Will definitely go back

This was definitely worth the money and time. Felt safe and relaxed the entire flight. 6 people plus the pilot fit in the helicopter. I was in the middle seat and it was still a great seat so don’t feel bad if you get “stuck” in the middle. We did this for our daughter’s 18th birthday - she got the copilot seat which was awesome for her! Pilot was informative about what we were looking at, etc.
    — We don’t ride trains often so getting there was a little tricky but HeliNY sent great directions on what train to take, etc. just go early if you aren’t used to navigating train stations - and ask for help. The ride back via train was very easy because the HeliNY shuttle driver was very helpful and amazing with telling us what to do.
This was an experience we will never forget and highly recommend!

Lots of fun! The room was set up very well, challenging but not impossible. Staff was very nice and helpful. Booking process was very easy. All in all, fun way to spend an hour. Only one complaint: no markings on the exterior of the building. You kind of have to just know where it is.

Very organized process. You line up, they give you a wrist band and a ticket with either a letter or number on the back. Then they lead you to the Peacock Lounge where you wait until you are lead to the studio. While you are in the Peacock Lounge, you have time to use the restroom, which they encourage because once in the studio, you are unable to go unless you do not want back in.
Before being led into the studio, the letter or number on the back of your ticket, lets you know the order of entry. They called the alphabet first, in order, then the double alphabet, then white tickets (not sure of the difference between the yellow tickets and the white tickets), then lastly they call the tickets with the numbers on the back.
Once you are called, they remind you that your phones have to be powered down, then you take an elevator up to floor 7. You are led to your seat, then once everyone is in, they close the doors and you wait until they start.

The Butterbeer was delicious! Wes was very helpful at the personalization checkout. I got my personalized Hogwarts Acceptance letter. Would have gotten a robe but they were out of the Large Gryffindor robes. They said that the shipment hadn’t come in to restock. A few of the Gryffindor items like the head girl pin, the house scarf and sweater was out of stock or not available in an XL. I did get the Hogwarts Scarf made in Scotland. I loved this scarf because it was well made, kept me warm in the 34 degree weather and was beautiful. Wish they had a hat and mittens to match. Lots of great items to choose from, be prepared to spend a lot of $$$. Most things can be purchased on the website, so if you miss something don’t worry. Check out the Sale section I got some Christmas items half off.
