What travellers are saying
- spiritof67Hartsdale, NY38 contributionsI went to the ArtsQuest Cafe to see Mr. Phzzz/The Melvins/Boris. Everything about the experience was good, from the 1/2 pound hamburger (really) to the seating, the acoustics, even the cleanliness of the bathrooms. As soon as the venue has another act/tour I want to see, I'll be back.Written 18 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ahrensjimBridgewater, NJ16 contributionsVery interesting museum, covers a lot of the industrial history of Bethlehem and naturally Bethlehem Steel which is right there. A mix of different industries and a nice gift shop. A great place to visit in spring or fall when you can walk along steel stacks,. Also be sure to see the gun barrel from the battleship which is nearby. National canal museum is not far either.Written 21 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- James CNew York City, NY199 contributionsBeing from NYC and walking the high line, I can see the similarities between them . The elevation so you can see all around is exceptional. The view of the steel plant brings you back in history. The plants around the walkway must look beautiful in the spring. I f you have time go for a walkWritten 30 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Anand GKochi (Cochin), India2,003 contributionsThe centre is really nice. The staff there Ms. Jenna, a very knowledgeable person with excellent communication skills, was very helpful in helping plan our tour of the area. The shop attached to the centre offered a wide variety of material including books and antiques which were priced reasonably. It is a good intro for the tour of Bethlehem historic sitesWritten 17 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TheExplorerFamilySomerset, NJ6,451 contributionsThe town of Bethlehem has made good use of an old factory and converted it into a really nice place for local artists.
The lay-out is like a school containing rooms and corridors with lots of art on the walls and pretty Murals along the walls. There are studios where artists were busy creating glass blown artwork. Shelves outside the studio displayed a lot of those beautiful creations and finished products. It was relaxing watching the glass blowing. Also loved the tiled mosaics on the outside walls at the entrance.
The place was deserted because of the holidays. We were the only ones there – other than the artists, so we did not feel rushed. But we would certainly love to return for an art show when everything is opened up again.
The parking is ample and admission is free.
If you love a variety of arts, this would be a cool place to spend an afternoon.Written 30 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Established as Moravian Settlement prior to statehood, through its domination during the industrial revolution, the Christmas City is quintessentially American. Now there is a focus on tech and medical, and Bethlehem as evolved as has its purpose. There are hep bars, like the one at the railroad track, a vast selection of beers and a very warm and accepting vibe. A great city for live music, the south side of the city that was once home to the famous Bethlehem Steel, has now become a casino complex with several notable concert venues and event centers. The people are the icing on the cake, they're really nice and enthusiastic about life.Written 11 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lee c4 contributionsThe Rise and Fall of Bethlehem Steel tour was a must, Market was just an arts and crafts and not a true German market, but give Bethlehem thumbs up for Arts Quest, market and reinventing the area. Hotel Bethlehem is stunning at night. Parking meters need to be addressed, no smart phone, no parking, says to call which send you back to download app, takes forever. Nice day trip! So much history.Written 10 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- designtraveler2015Philadelphia, PA75 contributionsVery pleasant experience, we had center aisle end-of-row seats which made it easier to see the stage ( the floor is flat and not slanted for viewing)
Easy parking, easy entrance and well run event space.Written 5 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The park has pavilions for picnics, places to sit, a small dam on the stream, and several nice bridges. There is an easy parking lot nearby. Really a nice little community amenity for a quiet day.Written 8 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Larry BBethlehem, PA61 contributionsThe Lehigh and Keystone Valley Model Railroad Museum coninues to get better every time I visit. This past Sunday the guys held a train sale, selling museum items and also there were many venders selling all sorts of train and railroad items. It was very well attended and every body was having a great time.
I heartily recommend visiting the museum layout. It appears that the scenery along the railroad lines is getting better by the day. Truly an experience for all to enjoy and see how railroads operated in the past and which made the Valley the great place it is today.
A trip to the museum will be an event long remembered. Try it - you will love it.Written 23 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
