There are fewer things that bring me more delight when I travel than chancing across a small, unusual museum.
We hit the jackpot when we visited the Copper Art Museum this week.
It’s astonishing that someone was interested enough in a metal—ONE METAL—to curate an entire museum for one. Every room was a delight. We learned so much and spent two happy hours (about an hour longer than the average visitor) poking about.
Jan, the lovely receptionist who welcomed us, is a real asset to the museum and I wish her well.

Built on a hill that overlooks the entire area, these ruins are of a pueblo from about 900 years ago. At one time, Tuzigoot was over 100 rooms. You can see some of the ruins, but there are also some complete rooms that you can actually enter. There are also some walking trails. There is a nice Visitor's Center with a number of informative exhibits. There is also a gift shop. The rangers here were friendly and informative. It isn't a big park so parking can be difficult during high-season. The entrance fee is only $10 and you can save your receipt and use it for Montezuma Castle National Monument, as well.

The walk up to the ruins isn't too extreme and is gradual. Even with bad knees, I was able to get to the top.

This is a very scenic drive with changing scenery along the way. Some parts of the drive are steep and have switchback and are not recommend for longer RVs. So if you are an RVer, check it out first.

My husband and I visited this winery as a part of a private winery tour. The wine was good, and the wine bottles all displayed very beautiful unique art that we learned was done by one of the owners. The highlight though was the man and woman behind the bar, they were friendly, knowledgeable, and funny! So down to earth! Reminded me of our usual hang out spots back home, felt really comfortable. Great vibes here :)

Beautiful drive, we started in Jerome at about 60 degrees and started driving up, started seeing snow on the sides of the road and temperatures dropped to 50 degrees. Elevation at one point was over 7000 feet. The views are amazing. It is a very windy road and some people stop in the road to take pictures so please be careful, we went around a blind curve and there was a car completely stopped, if we had been going the speed limit we would’ve hit them. Enjoy this beautiful drive.

We spent a few minutes in this park while waiting for the Verde River Train tour. It was a hot day but the gentle breeze blowing through the shade trees brought much relief. Worth a stop.

Oh my gosh! Loved this place! We thought we were going to the wrong place cuz it’s part of a college but what a gem!! College students/people run and make the wine. They name the wine they make! The room is quaint and the host was a “student” who was retired and doing this for fun. I would highly recommend this unassuming place. I’ve been to Napa and Sonoma many times over 40 years…this wine area is like those places used to be

Went here on the recommendation of a local. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Enjoyed some drinks and played cards from their game shelf while we snacked on hot pretzel bites. There was a did truck outside for heavier fare, but we were on our way to dinner so just had snacks inside.

Saint Cecilia's would be one of the best experiences you could ever wish for if you're a follower of the beautiful traditional Catholic Mass. Don't worry if you have slipped behind with your Latin, they have booklets a the door that will explain everything. I hve never heard such a beautiful sermon and the people are very friendly. Please go and tnjoy the Holy Mass there, you will not be dissapointed

Lovely area along the Verde River. There is a small charge for entering / parking (on the honor system but we did see a truck there with signage from the site), but we assume the fee goes to maintain the area. It looked like a great place for water access to the river. We just walked around while my husband took photos of the foliage and the area. It is a nice stop for a Fall trip. Although we felt it was a discovery for us, there were several others photographing the area while we were there. There is a little picnic area and you can walk around easily -- down a little hill to get closer to the river but not difficult.

A delightful small museum, volunteers were very engaging. Especially the ex AT&SF division manager. The volunteers have done a nice job in still remote village.
