My tour company organized this tour. We were driven inside the park hoping to see leopards. We saw some crocodiles, deer, wild boar, monkeys, Buffalo and a variety of birds. Towards the end we saw some elephants. I would recommend doing the eco tours near Sigiriya as we saw over 40 elephants there. The road was particularly bad due to the rains. It was disappointing to not see any leopards. Otherwise it’s a three hour ride in some beautiful countryside and forest. Lots of other jeeps too.

We went to Yala National Park and it was brilliant. Great tour, excellent service for the price and the guide was so beady eyed he spotted so much which we wouldn’t have noticed!
Definitely worth doing during your time in Sri Lanka.

This is very sacred place. Ancient people believe, before go here, you should not eat meats or have alcohol. However, Kebiliththa situated in a hard route, very difficult to reach. We used two 4WD to go. Worth to visit. Again, do not take this simple, if so, you will be in trouble.

We were collected from our hotel at 04.45. Our jeep driver was lovely and very experienced. We arrive at the park 30 mins later. There must have been around 120 jeeps waiting to get in. Leopards were spotted early on but due to the volume of vehicles and tourists shouting, they shot off and were not seen again.
Our guide told us they are allowing far too many vehicles to drive through the park and so now leopards are very diffcult to spot. Most jeeps were 8-12 seaters with only 2 guests in each one,
We did however see elephants, water buffalo, crocodiles and all sorts of birds.
An elephant with 2 babies walked right past our jeep - we could have reached out and touched them. But again, very noisy R*****n tourists actually shouted at them and scared them off.
Perhaps some rules should be spoken through, advising folk how to behave.

My husband and I did a full day Safari in Yala, driven by Sasanka on our recent trip.
It the best experience we had the whole trip! Sasanka was a fantastic driver and I don’t think our day would have been the same without him. He obviously had a lot of contacts and was aways speaking with other drivers to find out about locations and sightings of animals, and when he got word of something he drove us incredibly quickly to the location to give us the best chance of spotting the animals.
With his expertise and driving we saw so many different animals. He also took us on some quieter routes where it felt like we were the only people in the whole park, and we had some amazing moments watching a family of elephants playing together.
Sasanka worked hard all day to try and find a leopard for us! We did spent some time waiting at different locations to see if leopards would come out and it paid off finally at the end of the day when we saw one! We were waiting a bit further down the road for it when Sasanka got word it was behind us. He skilfully reversed at full speed to get us in a position to see the leopard clearly in between the other jeeps. We may have missed it without his excellent driving!

    Great safari experience
Saw lots of animals even though the Werther wasn’t cooperating. The driver tried his best to show us the jaguar that was on a tree.
